I'm talking about ordinary people, not authorities, they did use all time when visited Iran, Cuba, Lebanon and others that are unfriendly to Americans.

Honestly, I thought Venezuela was enough of an excuse, considering China apparently had a close partnership with them. But it is true that taking Greenland will be the icing on the cake and the 100% guarantee that will make them move toward Taiwan.

With Venezuela, the US the slimmest of excuses to steal the oil by saying they're taking out Maduro, which may keep China at bay. But if they take Panama/Greenland/Canada, China and Russia will take that as an absolute green light that anything goes.
