Star Wars fans celebrate the new year with an update from Star Wars: Jedi Academy's most popular modification.

The Movie Duels team has added an extensive list of updates and improvements to the game already referred to as the best in lightsaber combat in the series.
Among the updates _not_ mentioned in the above trailer are a new weapon wheel and force power selection wheel, ending the constant need to cycle between over fifteen different force powers and weapons ingame.
Other improvements such as the new Rend 2 dynamic lighting engine are currently in beta testing, but appear to work with all maps so far.
The Jedi Outcast addon has also been updated, causing this to be the arguably definitive way to play Star Wars: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Jedi Academy, and fans' favorite duels through all of the films.
The Jedi Outcast support requires a copy of Star Wars: Jedi Outcast, and Star Wars: Jedi Academy will be needed to install the modification itself. Both are available at gog.com and on the steam gaming platform.
