bro is now accusing anyone of been friends with Epstein.

What a grand and intoxicating stupidity
You were the one who got mad at the Epstein files being brought up and everyone can go back a few pages to see it.

So shut the fuck up Epstein pal.

I don't think Maduro legitimately won his election, but Trump unilaterally deciding he's now Venezuela's king is orders of magnitude more corrupt than that. This can only possibly make things more violent/chaotic, and I don't foresee a majority of Venezuelans accepting the US government's authority over them.
You mean the venezuelans crying teaes of joy, thanking Trump for putting an end to their nightmare?

They aren't tears of joy for family members of casualties, and there is no justification for an unprovoked imperialist invasion of a sovereign nation. Trump was already at a negative seventeen percent approval rating in the wake of the Epstein files, and I seriously doubt Venezuelans want to be ruled over by a demented pedophile any more than we in the US do.

The strong naiveté of some people here, thinking that their Daddy just happened to free the Venezuelans, is truly astounding and proves that a lot here, are simple-minded.

Especially when there are more than enough examples of the aftermath of multiple countries being worse off, after US' intervention, whether it has succeeded or not. Yes, many of them involve getting rid of dictators.

A lot of you guys need to read about history, and the context of why this is happening.

If you can't understand the concept of nuance, stay away from political discussions. It's getting tiresome of facepalming after reading some comments.

Also watch how all the great powers will move and change the geopolitical landscape after this play. This will affect us all, in the future.

The people here who are "pro-dictator removal" are the exact same fucking people who criticized Biden supporting Ukraine in their war effort because...

*checks notes*

"
We need to stop being world police"

These demons literally cannot find any reason to celebrate an extremely illegal invasion other than "look how happy Venezuelans are". Because if it were for the sake of humanities, they would've supported Ukraine and Palestine. And if it were for the sake of prosecution for crimes committed against the US, they're sure having a hard time finding evidence of that except for it coming from the mouth of our lord and savior himself, God Emperor Trump.

Many of you, in the past, criticized the war in Iraq. You criticized the US being world police. You condemned the invasion of Ukraine, and even the war in Gaza. But this is so much different, all because the ends justify the means, and now you think we should be thankful about the supposed upcoming lowered cost of fossil fuels. You people would support cannibalism if it served some kind of economic purpose.

Costello, if you're reading this, and you give two shits about this userbase and have any ideals left in your body, you will ban pro-war, pro-imperialist sentiments.

The Guardian is a far left wing (Anti Trump) newspaper.
The socialist journalists generally just print opinion pieces and far left propoganda, rather than real news.

Trump says USA will run Venezuela until a new government is elected so the country doesn't end up being taken over by another dictator or run by narco gangs which is a very wise and reasonable thing to do. However the article doesn't say that in the headline. Instead it tries to insinuates that Trump has taken over the country and is going to steal all it's resources, which is nothing more than speculation from a mental conspiricy theorist.

Rather than waiting a few months to see how things turn out though, we have the usual suspects on here with the Anti Trump fear mongering, lies and general hatred of all things that Trump does, posting "news" articles from more Anti Trump "reporters". These same posters NEVER post anything positive about Trump though, their hatred blinds them. They are ignoring all the people in Venezuela that are happy that Trump has just freed them from Tyranny.

Instead it tries to insinuates that Trump has taken over the country and is going to steal all it's resources, which is nothing more than speculation from a mental conspiricy theorist.
Can you quote the part where this happens? Literally all you actually have is that the headline is a summary, because that's what a headline is.

Is it inaccurate to say that Trump said the US will "run" Venezuela? How long for is an additional detail that is immediately explained. Its a long quote, they also want to include the arrest of Maduro, you can't put the entire article into the headline or it looks absurd.

Anyway, heres renowned marxist socialist evil bad opinion piece outlet Fox News also trying the same dirty trick. Please let them know their Fox5 branch has been compromised by the far left.

I'll be honest, I think you're projecting possible concerns onto an accurate article because it doesn't editorialise enough to tell you that everything will be fine. It just reports what happens, and yeah, maybe talk of the US taking over Venezuela and becoming involved in its oil *could*, MAYBE, be a ploy to take its resources. And yeah, that is speculation, no actual plan either way has been presented and Maduro's government is still in charge.
So, because its an accurate article and not an "opinion piece" (seriously, where is the opinion?) the article doesn't say that any of that. But you yourself can't really rule that out, so, better just pretend the wrongthink of Trump hypothetically doing a bad thing was planted in your head by the evil socialist newspaper, when it... reported on what Trump said.

Its also fascinating that you object to talk of Trump "taking over" (again, that doesn't appear in the article) as if that's so different from "running" Venezuala. Temporarily. How exactly is he going to run it without taking it over? Don't get me wrong, there is a slight difference, but not enough to go from "obviously justified" to "mental conspiracy".

Wait, no, it does appear in the article, because Trump also used the language of "taking over", and they quoted him! Shit, Trump's in on it too!

"maduro-"
don't make me tap the fucking sign

It's basic policy to respect each country's sovereignty. This doesn't mean agreeing with what's being done there, but understanding no country has a literal right to invade another.
Hmmm, this is Ironic since the left didn't care at all when USA was being invaded by foreigners and they didn't care about USA's sovereignty when millions of illegals were invading and committing crimes against American citizens, drugging, killing, kidnapping, stealing, raping, trafficking them, but well that's the left for you, full of contradictions. They don't know what they stand for as long as it's against Trump eh!

Even now Trump has done a great thing (again), the left still find a reason to hate....that's why lots of people are leaving the left and even more will be seeing the light as you read this.

I must have missed the news about America being invaded, uh, what the fuck are you talking about. Can you provide an example?

jack, bro, be for real
please for once in your life look at the facts:

1) we obviously and continuously dispute this foreign invasion on the basis of it being unsubstantiated. we go about our lives satisfied by the reams of data suggesting that the number of illegal immigrants crossing the border under the biden administration was roughly 3 million people. the majority of illegal immigrants in the united states have been there for over ten years. the conviction rate for illegal immigrants is less than half per capita than regular american citizens. this is measurable data, jack.
so please understand, this isn't a gotcha, we aren't impressed by it and it's not apples to apples. let's put that aside for the moment and relax about the immigration, please, and understand it is an issue we will return to later.

2) trump unilaterally, without congress approval, attacked another country, swiped its leader to be subject to trial in a country that is not his own, and is actively making efforts to consolidate american power in that country and fill the power vacuum that he created. please understand that this is explicitly the goal: to secure the oil. surely a generation removed from the terrible iraq war you can see the same signs here, just far more in the open...
imagine if china had bombed america and stolen president trump and melania to beijing in order to install themselves and kamala harris as their puppet, and make trump stand trial in their country, under their laws. many would rejoice at the removal of trump, you can be sure we would find people happy about it. but would it be good for a country to have the ability to just take over the united states in a raid? trump did that venezuela. as reprehensible of a person maduro is, you must see that is a line crossed. didn't you vote for trump to stop the wars? that was a year ago, jack. you were probably as excited as anyone to see the wars stop! what happened, jack? don't you remember?

Because of oil, and that's it.

Also, we should make one thing clear: Maduro was a dictator, he was plotting on invading their neighbor country not long ago for the exact same reason, Trump is following suit with his own insane wannabe-dictator actions.

maduro being a small-time dictator with landgrab ambitions ≠ the most powerful nation in the history of our planet openly overthrowing a government for personal gain
why are we ceding this ground that "well maduro was bad"
this is not the same thing! this constitutes an enormous breach in international law by the country who cannot be held accountable without the world itself being destroyed!
