Any way to bypass the "system/dev to normal DSiWare patch" on NTM? (No Unlaunch)

Hi, another weird question from me.
So, I was trying to install a DSiWare, but it's a system title, (I am not using Unlaunch by the way). So, I went to install it using NTM sysNAND mode, when I select yes to install the patches, the app appears on my home menu, but upon launch it says error has occurred, please turn off DSi and consult user manual. When I try to install without the patch, it comes up with the error attached. It says it's safer to use it, but I can disable it (which does not work). Also when I install it obeying the restrictions, it says it can't find the TMD even though the legal TMD is in the same folder with the same name...

I'm probably not going to get an answer, but worth a shot. Thanks guys.

I am so devoted to installing Nintendo Zone, first I tried redirecting the Nintendo zone WDB url to my hosted server, but my router in using doesn't have active internet. It's on my profile post if you want to see. I'm trying to use k66's method, but I dont have an ntr boot cartridge yet. I've even emailed other people in the community too. I apologise if I'm being difficult or frustrating.

I don't understand, on one hand you don't want to install Unlaunch, but on the other hand you're randomly installing DSiWare on SysNAND.Your NAND now already has a bunch of non-original stuff in it.

I usually use TDT to install system applications.
If you don't use Unlaunch, it's recommended to install only the one for the same region as your system.

Yeah, I know I'm confusing. But when installing things on my NAND it's easy to uninstall, it's not a full bootloader replacement. I'll check out TDT, thank you!

I tried using TDT but it didn't work. How does it work?

It is used to install tad files, and you can find the system app files for each version in every region on @rvtr 's website.

Note that the installation paths for NTM and TDT may different when installing system apps.
For example NTM installs NintendoZone in the 00030004 folder, while TDT is installed in the 00030005 folder.
(Be careful of the installation directory when deleting system app)
.
You'd better backup the NAND first.
If you don't have an ntrboot cart, and you don't use Unlaunch either, I don't recommend installing system apps on SysNAND.

I couldn't find the .tad files on the site, but I'll keep looking and send an email. So TDT should work as it installs Nintendo Zone in the System Apps folder, while NTM installs it in the DSiWare folder? Yeah I have a few NAND backups, but if I was to restore using ntrboot, would I need the NAND with the no$gba footer or a raw NAND image?

Another question, if I installed an out-of-region .tad file with TDT, would that corrupt the NAND?

Thanks!

Maybe you can search for 'DSi Firmware Versions' (I can't use Google, but I can find websites using Bing).

Restoring NAND with SafeNandManager must have a no$gba footer.

You shouldn't do this without Unlaunch or ntrboot cart.
Without Unlaunch, some apps from out-of-region will be hidden (you won't be able to see them in the DSimenu), and sometimes the system will delete them outright.

Thanks! I got the .tad files, but unfortunately they don't appear on my home menu after installation. Saner version and same region

If you install NintendoZone, it definitely won’t appear, you can only use the method I posted in the tutorial..
Haven't you already seen it.. there are also additional notes..

Oh ok. Thank you
I understand that you want to try it yourself, which is definitely a good thing.
However, without using Unlaunch and not having an ntroot cart right now, the risk is very high.
I've reminded you many times.

(Actually, the risk isn't that high. With a NAND backup and an ntrboot cart, there’s really no problem)

Yeah I know, I'm confusing... I appreciate you answering me and guiding me throughout this, I don't even know what answer I expect myself. I'll be sure to use your method, plain and simple, just been trying alternatives untill I get an NTR-Boot cartridge, in the meantime I'll keep looking at obscure Nintendo DSi things, so be ready for more questions!! 😆
