"Metroid Prime 4: Beyond" leaks one day away from release

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond review - Playing the hits - Hypertext

As it's almost the case with every big Nintendo release, the next big upcoming title from Nintendo, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, has been leaked online ahead of release. However, the leak didn't come in a date that many people expected.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is set to release tomorrow, December 4th, for both Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Nintendo Switch 1 version of the game having leaked online today. However, in contrast with previous big Nintendo releases, this leak came just a day prior from the official release of the game, while previously, huge Nintendo releases were known to be leaked several days, if not weeks ahead of release, making the title available through unofficial means, and for others, being a source of early spoilers for people that were looking forward to the official release date to experience the game for themselves.

The game also received a recent 1.1.0 update, which seems to be a day one patch, with the patch also being available online already.

Remember, that direct links to ROMs or any kind of illegal copy are not allowed, so discuss the title with the previous warning in mind.

They'll continue releasing Switch games for five years at a minimum, maybe even ten. It won't be a must-target platform for everything though, that much is true.
I think 2026 is the last year for this system. Maybe a few in 2027 but that's about it. Everything's going to go toward Switch 2.

If they keep making Key Card releases the physical copies worth buying will be very few. No point buying empty cartridges.

Even Nintendo is releasing a Pokémon game on a Key Card.

Hope the Switch 2 gets hacked the hell out of it and people pirate it as much as possible. Screw Nintendo.

Everything's going toward digital. It's just at a slow pace it seems.

Depends on whether we're talking about first-party or third-party, and also what total sales of Switch 2 look like at the end of 2026. Even if they top 30 million, that's still a minimum of 120 million people who own a Switch but not a Switch 2. Nintendo and everybody else will still want their money, and indies will continue to release at a much faster rate than AAA games.

This is Key-Card because game made by Koei Tecmo. It's not Nintendo+Pokemon/GameFreak colalboration, but Nintendo+Pokemon/Gamefreak+KoeiTecmo. That means everyoen getting only part of this pie, and KT is one of them. And I'm sure they don't want to spend part of their potentially earned money on expensive cards.
This is 100% Koei Tecmo's choice.

Jeez, the fanboys on here always come to Nintendo's rescue "it's their choice" etc.

At that point the only thing Switch 2 physical releases are good for are first party and that's it (not counting this one even though it'll be published by Nintendo themselves).

Wow, it runs on 19.0.0 without the update? I don't even have to update my Switch! I can't play Mario Galaxy 2 on it, but it's not worth going through the trouble for it.

EDIT: No dice, the installation failed and said "old firmware." I won't be playing it any time soon as I don't feel like gong through the trouble of updating it.

Someday we will have mods that will make this game better.

Is there any good Mods for Metroid Other M?
