"Metroid Prime 4: Beyond" leaks one day away from release

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond review - Playing the hits - Hypertext

As it's almost the case with every big Nintendo release, the next big upcoming title from Nintendo, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, has been leaked online ahead of release. However, the leak didn't come in a date that many people expected.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is set to release tomorrow, December 4th, for both Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Nintendo Switch 1 version of the game having leaked online today. However, in contrast with previous big Nintendo releases, this leak came just a day prior from the official release of the game, while previously, huge Nintendo releases were known to be leaked several days, if not weeks ahead of release, making the title available through unofficial means, and for others, being a source of early spoilers for people that were looking forward to the official release date to experience the game for themselves.

The game also received a recent 1.1.0 update, which seems to be a day one patch, with the patch also being available online already.

Remember, that direct links to ROMs or any kind of illegal copy are not allowed, so discuss the title with the previous warning in mind.

Honestly, yeah. My biggest thing with pirated games is that it kinda sucks the fun out getting it for free. Not that I want to give a company my money, but I don’t feel like I’ve earned that experience when it comes to new games.
Playing my pirated games! While Thinking About how many more games I would have bought legitimately, if they would ever drop the prices on the older games!

This is exactly why I've never bought Xenoblade 2, despite being interested for the last five or so years. It just feels like a giant fuck you.

The irony is I still have a lists and I go and find legit copies at pawn shops, I have about 9 around my city I travel to and they hook me up, when they get Switch stuff in and sells me all my games for $20 to $35 Dollars. So at some point I do get physical legit copies, I just don't give Nintendo the Money!

Pawnshop even sold me a mint condition OLED dock and all, looks like someone stole it and pawned it, accessories were still wrapped for $170

And I watch Target digital sales, they have Switch 1 games all the time dropping 50% or lower digital keys and get them sometimes too.

So even though I pirate some, eventually I will buy legit copies! I use the CFW for mainly cheats, mods, and 60 fps hacks.

This is very much going to be an "end of an era" in terms of Switch games being leaked any amount of time from launched, especially since there really isn't that many *big* games for the original Switch still coming out as any real portjobs to Nintendo's consoles are going right for the Switch 2 now simply so they don't have to work with S1's specs, and the S2 is clearly an iron fortress of security so any "Leaks" from here on out will be just early physical shipments coming out.

The only upcoming games (not necessarily "big" games) I know of that people would care about are:

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
Rhythm Heaven Groove
Tamadotchi Life: Living the Dream

Not loving the sound of the hand-holding companion characters, and I don't think they're gonna bring in new audiences for the IP like Nintendo expects them to anyway. I'm sure it's still a good game overall, but just a completely unnecessary addition that might well hold it back from greatness.

The way to do a tutorial character right would've been having him annoy you for an hour, and then have an alien eviscerate him.

Fantastic news, mediocre game, agenda driven (white is stupid, clumsy, annoying and black is here to save the day, alpha, capable, leader) and eternally unsatisfied, money hungry Nintendo.

Heard the game will have more than one annoying character throughout the entire game besides the annoying tutorial character. I'm sure that is Just what people wanted. By that I mean people who are tourists/activists.

I know there will still be Switch 1 games in 2026 but this feels like the end of an era for me.

They'll continue releasing Switch games for five years at a minimum, maybe even ten. It won't be a must-target platform for everything though, that much is true.
