Well i think her actions have no mean nowadays. She's just become a walking meme imo.

I blame her parents. They should never let her be at the center of attention at that young age. Every time i see her i think "there goes the attention junkie".

And btw i think we should fight climate change and pollution, but i don't think these stunts are doing nothing positive in spreading awareness. I think they are doing more harm than good to the movement, and that common people just see this as narcissistic actions from attention junkies.

First you have the amount of smoke that should be a problem for the guy supposedly protesting.
You have just one guy, when normally it's in groups. There is a smeary mess to whatever is to the left of him. then we got questions of the camera man, since he is also in danger of the severe smoke around them.

I believe in waymo cars being burned down, that was an event, and that was because of them giving data to ice.
But your specific image is at best an artistic rendering. Worst, straight lying.

I did some Googling for curiosity on this one. The image came from a BBC article, who themselves got it from Getty Images. There are a looooooot of stock photos from that day on Getty, but I did find a few that appear to show other angles of the same thing, so I would lean towards it being a genuine photo:

It's quite clearly the same person with the same sign in those images.

Anyway actually on the topic of the thread, protest is annoying. For it to have any real impact it has to piss people off. If anything I'm shocked some bio-degradable colouring in a polluted river has pissed off this many people, it seems relatively low stakes given current events around the world.
