No problem! I didn’t know you wanted to add the star remixes lol.
Just because I have the curiosity but can’t you add Russian letters to the game or why is smile missing the title?

Its a bug from using loadiine, if installed directly to the syatem, the bug should go away.

I'm now working on beta mashups.
Are the star/community remixes already finished or will you finish those later on? From the exclusives I noticed that TasteTheFeelingALT, TurnUpTheLoveFAN and JustMaxBL are not added, and that the added fanmades have the wrong title as <MISSING:NUMBER> instead of the actual title... Besides that everything else is flawless :)

I will add those 3 and the missing number issue will be fixed last. I haven't worked on anything since then because I've been busy.

But do you plan to add even those star remixes that were never released, or only the community remixes that were actually added in game?

Do you have a tutorial on how to mod in songs onto jd 2014-2017? I've been trying to but I cant find a tut specifically for WIi U.

Hey @eeL20! First of all I need to thank you for this mods/patches. That's some great work right there. I'm finally able to play the regional exclusives without needing to install the NTSC and PAL versions of the games, along with the Chinese exclusives of 2015.

I do need to say that I think Man Down (2014 PAL) tracking is not working correctly. Every time I try to play it, the score of the first move I get is the one I keep getting the entire song. For example, if in the first move I get an X, all the other moves will get me an X. If I get an OK, all the other moves will get me an OK. It doesn't matter, it will be the same thing the entire song.

Also, I'm trying to mod Just Dance 2014, but I think the secure_fat.gf generators I found are not working correctly. I tried the augustodoidin's and Wukko's generators but they make the game unbootable, at least on Wii U (I'm testing them on Cemu before moving to real hardware). On Wii modifications of the game, it works fine. What generator are you using? Do you mind sharing it or, at least share how you fixed it?

I read in this thread that you were using the Wukko's generator, but you changed something about 4 bytes and it was working. I think the generators I have are not working because it generates a 12KB file, considering the ones generated by Ubisoft and by you are around 270KB in size. Using the 12KB one makes the game unbootable. It crashes instantly. Using the one that you generated or not using one at all, also don't work, but at least it crashes right after the Ubisoft intro, making me suspicious about the secure_fat.gf file.

I do need to note that I'm trying to add maps following the Baliandro's tutorial on how to mod Just Dance 2014 for Wii, but making the appropriate changes for Wii U, like higher res menu textures, higher video res on the videoscoach file, higher res pictos and that kind of stuff. I'm also trying to add more things using the game's update, modifying the "Bundle_6_WIIU.ipk", using unpakke to unpack the original one, made by you, adding the map I backported and packing it again. I also changed "patch_WIIU.ipk", to add the correct skuscene, so the maps you backported and the one I backported would show up on the menu, along with the DLCs.

Thanks for making these awesome updates!

EDIT: I found the problem, I was actually just being stupid. I was trying to generate an secure_fat.gf inside the update folder of the game, not on the entire game folder. But still, I'm not able to inject songs into the Wii U version of the game, unlike the Wii version.

As I said before, I'm using Baliandro's video on how to mod Just Dance 2014 for the Wii, but I'm making the adjustments so it looks and run better on Wii U, like textures and renaming the file system from "wii" or "nx" to "wiiu", but I guess something (maybe a tool? idk) is exporting in a way only the Wii versions of the game can read. I'm also getting the Switch (nx) mainscenes, directly from Ubi servers and backporting them (or trying to).

I've managed to change the files of an already existing song, by editing a "bundle_XX_WIIU.ipk", but it didn't work. The game did not crash, but nothing of that song, except for the preview audio, which played correctly, nothing worked/loaded at all. That makes me think the problem is not with the secure_fat.gf file anymore. Do you have any idea of what can be causing these issues? Would you happen to know the differences between a Wii and a Wii U map, except for the resolution of the textures/videocoach, but like, if something is serialized or encrypted in a different way or even if there's Wii U specific tools for modding Just Dance?

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply
1. Man Down tracking is the same way that it is in the actual files, I didn't change it at all, I'm aware there are tracking issues and I might re-add it again in the future when I look into adding 99Luftballons beta and ClubCantHandleMe, but right now I'm focusing on the JD16 patch.
2. The secure_fat generators I'm using are the ones credited here, I didn't modify the source code. Just remember that JD14 is very picky with files (or rather, lackthere of, the JD14 engine will crash if it finds like an incorrect value in the songdesc or a corrupted cover texture) and there are some constraints (like the size of the bundle should not reach more than 2-3 GB. The bytes that I'm changing are so that the new maps will also incorporate the DLC (according to the internal documentation, those are the "engine version", so I just manually change them to match.
3. Wii textures are not the same as Wii U ones, there are tools to convert files on Github by the credited creators, just choose which one works best for you. The videocoach.isc.ckd file needs to also be changed, since JD14 on Wii U uses Ubisoft's hashing to check for files (this means that if you open the files in HxD, after the filepath, there is the hash, the tools use a generic hashing function which works on Wii, but not on Wii U, you'll need to get the Ubisoft file hash from either looking at the Bundle IPK itself in HxD or making your own code), on Wii it's more leninent and will let you get away with these mismatches, check the screenshots examples of what I mean. Wii U video files are also on a different resolution (1216 x 720, but again, there are tools to automatically convert these to the desired resolution)

Hi! I came across this thread looking for a way to access the now unobtainable locked uPlay songs I cannot access for '16 since the servers for the Wii U went offline.

I would like to read more into this rabbit hole of content that was once avalible, and what lists exist as a template for the songs that are being added here.

Does anyone have anything they can point me towards? Thanks!

Hi! I didn't quite understand how to edit the securefat to make dlcs show up

The securefat generator will make a new file, but the first few bytes will be different, I use HxD and I just copy the bytes from the original file into the new one.
