hi guys, wondering if you could help. My EZ Flash Air arrived today. Strangely it isn't working with my backlit mod GBA. It's working no problem with my DS however. When i turn on with my GBA, it gets to the menu screen but cant do anything, time is stand-still to so im sure it's frozen even after firmware updating. also tried reformatting the entire SD card and only putting the kernel on. on GBA If i put it to mode B it does go to the last game i played and works fine. weird Mode A only working with my DS. Do you think it's something power related? also tried fresh batteries.

Here's a video of whats going on:

Kernel installed as of this video: Kernel 1.02

Discord suggested cleaning the power switch, which i have done. It was a little dirty but nothing problem convincing. I tried taking a picture of it after i cleaned the switch:

It's a common issue, backlit displays draw too much power and the power management of the GB/GBC/GBA is not designed for the increased power draw so it can lead to issues with flashcarts which also draw more power than regular carts.
A lipo battery mod might help as it provides stable voltage.

Fixed in the new kernel
thanks, with this new kernel im now able to navigate in the menu on the GBA. However, there are some problems writing to NOR from GBA. When i finish writing and try to boot the game it'll either show only white screen with glitchy sound or it'll crash later in the game. If i write to NOR from DS it runs fine even when i switch back to GBA.

I also had to firmware update from the DS as trying to update to fw3 gave me this error on the GBA:

So far, I'm seeing some save issues on some games still. But now that i can navigate the menu on GBA, this is massive improvement, thank you!

they released a new kernel this morning which resolved the menu navigating/freezing issue but im having some writing to NOR issues and saving. I'll look into the lipo battery mod, thanks

I got a GBA rechargeable battery mod today and installed it. with the new Kernel and this it seems to be running better. it's not perfect and some games still crash but im further than i was before. seems like writing to nor add-on is more consistent than writing to nor clean. thanks for all of the help
