What Wii U features do you wish the Switch 2 would have?

GC/Wii backwards compatibility.
Personality.
Actually decent online functionality. Please don't make us use friend codes again.
Miiverse was cool, I loved seeing the drawings people made in games.
I just wish it has more soul like Wii U. B-day messages, themes and all that are things the Switch 1 is missing
The Wii U didn't have themes. But at least it had personality, with a good default theme so the lack of themes wasn't so egregious.

Ohhh sry my mistake I must have confused it with something else. Still there was a lot of customization going on

Oh yeah, I also forgot about friend codes.

Sure, the Switch had other ways to add friends like quick-adding players you matched with in games or the NNID/Facebook/Twitter linking, but while they're nice options, it still doesn't mitigate the fact that you have to remember a 12-digit code to directly add someone instead of just using some sort of username.

I'd love it if it could communicate wirelessly with the dock so that the Switch 2 could act as a second screen allowing for games like NintendoLand again. It won't though, because that would make the dock really expensive.

The only feature it really needs is Nintendo not caring about it, so hacking it isn't impeded by constant firmware updates.

Can't say I'll miss the Gamepad though.

GamePad! I really like having two screens for maps &c., and have poked myself in the leg a couple of times on Xenoblade X DE trying to fast-travel with my non-existent FrontierNavPad.

Plus it's pretty much the only controller that has both sticks up top. Switch1's NitroDeck+ does, and has the back buttons needed to make this setup work best (ABXY duplicated elsewhere so you don't need to move your thumb off the stick). I have added microswitches to my GamePad, and to my weirdo third-party PS3/4 controller I have for some emulation / curiosity.

Here's an annoying one: i want to use the controllers as remotes. Yes, it auto switches the tv to the right hdmi channel, but i still need the remote to turn it back to regular mode(girlfriend always acts like the world ends when it's not tuned to the television output). Changing volume on the fly was also taken for granted.

It probably has a reason, but that stand is also a step back from wiiu. Wiiu stand had a 'J' kind of shape rather than a 'U' one. Commercials always show a switch 2 next to the tv (but not blocking the view). Mine's in a cabinet that's about 5 cm higher than the top, making taking and putting the switch 2 back a stupid exercise in fumbling.

Oh, right... My wiiu is next to my switch 2. I can't have more direct comparisons. :p

...i presume there's no use for the balance board on the switch? :(

Edit: of course I'm agreeing to the above, but i understand things being different now.
