So I was going to put android on my switch, so i was copying files from my SD CARD to my PC, but I didnt have enough time so i cancelled it. I shut the switch down from hekate, and now it wont turn on. Ive gone as far to replacing the battery in the switch, to no avail. Please if someone could help I would really appreciate it! (Yes I Have Tried Holding The Power Button For 15 Seconds)

Did you have autorcm enabled? Have you tried plugging your dongle in when turning it on?

Have you checked the SD card in a PC (i.e. make sure it isn't corrupt or failed)

Have you tried backing up the card and redoing hekate from scratch?

I dont think i have AutoRCM enabled, Ive tried holding power and - to no avail, SD card is fine, also tried booting without, havent tried redoing hekate from scratch, and lastly I dont use a dongle, I use Tegra from my PC, which doesnt detect RCM

So to confirm, you're booting into RCM by inserting a jig and pressing power and up?

At this point, I would try hekate from scratch on ideally a freshly formatted SD card, obviously taking in care in case your setup has e.g. emunand, etc.

If you're reusing your current card, backup everything first.
Alright ill try and get back to you

Also, is it normal for it to not boot into OFW even without the SD card?

I can't recall the error, but AFAIK it should boot into OFW unless there's something like an efuse mismatch.

You said you changed the battery, how long did you leave this to charge and what charger did you use?

I let it charge for a few hours, using the official switch adapter. It is showing signs of AutoRCM, (Eg flashing green for a second when putting it in dock) but both of my PC's dont detect RCM with Tegra

Is there a chance that you didn't plug the battery in correctly or something may have moved/shorted when you opened up the unit?

Also maybe checked the joycon port to see if theres an issue with the pins?

The battery Is in fine, and the joycon rail pins are also fine

FIXED! Turns out AutoRCM Wasnt on, but I had to hold the power button for 30 seconds, then plug my USB in and tap power and +, which put it into RCM

It sounds like your Switch was already in RCM mode but it wasn't loading the payload until a hard reboot.

I would personally consider looking at getting a dongle if you can as this along with autorcm makes booting relatively simple, just need to be careful when turning it off due to the battery.
