Does the switch 1 and 2 share similar firmware code? I'm wondering if anyone has been able to diff the changes between 19.1.x and 20.x.x to see if anything meaningful has been patched.
Similar firmware code? It's literally the exact same HorizonOS system. It could also be likely that the images are the exact same between the 2 consoles, just with hardware checks to see whether or not to enable the extra features.

You are just uninformed. Your comment about a possible hack needing an iso file says it all.... Switch 2 can fully use FAT32 formatted sd express cards without any additional updates or "activations", the update is only required if using exfat, as was the case with switch 1.

The file and partitions limits of FAT32 are not a problem neither in switch 1 or 2.

I didn’t know this, this reassures me that IF a hack does eventually come on then we would see similar patching to activate exfat like switch 1
