If you're using a lot of sys-modules and mods for certain games, 18.1.0 is probably the best, 19.0.1 being the second, based on the amount of memory available for those modules.
18.1.0 has 40MB, 19.x.x 24MB and 20.x.x 14MB.
I'm currently on 19.x.x. I don't use many sys-modules. I used to use Tesla overlay for emuiibo and that's something I intend to restore after updating to 20.x.x. Beyond that, nothing beyond what I need to use Breeze for cheats and its profile icon shortcut.

I seldomly use mods for very specific games, which is a rare usecase for me, e.g. the offline cracks for the Diablo games or that one time I used small mod for Hades because the chances of fishing spots spawning in the chaos gates were just too rare for me.

Considering that, would you say that should still be feasible to do with 14MB? I don't mind disabling the overlay & emuiibo when a game-specific mod takes precedence. I never really tracked the memory usage of modules and mods, though.

was away for a while, so a bit rusty, . if i use sysmodule 1,56 i won't need sigpathches?

i followed these steps and installed both sys module and sigpatches from the links he provided. ( seems i can"t add links since i am new user)

games works and all but tinfoil doesnt work. In their website they state that if it doesnt work it means you your sigpatches dont work.

PIRACY IS NOS SUPPORTED, stop using outdated malware. use your own legally aquired NSP and XCI and use installers like Sphaira, Goldleaf and such.

Just to be clear, the latest version of Atmosphere, Hekate etc. supports 20.1.1? I know the github pages mention 20.1.0, but in my experience those minor numbers at the right were never problematic unless explicitely mentioned otherwise. As far as I could tell, everything's good to go for updating to 20.1.x, but when I'm hearing too many conflicting sounds I start feeling uncomfortable about going through the with CFW update.
Then why its not working for meeeee? TT^TT
It usually works just fine, this is not the first time I messed up and updated the FW by accident... And tlit keep giving the fusee error even though I've replaced the previous one with the ine in the 1.9.1 Atmosphere...

Dont know what else to try, but I rly RLY dont want to downgradebthe FW coz thats so hard to do. I accept any suggestions at this point

tinfoil doesnt work
You're lacking FS/Loader patches

sys-patch and "sigpatches" aren't compatible with another, delete /atmosphere/contents/* & /atmosphere/exefs_patches & /bootloader/patches.ini (if it exists) and reapply sys-patch to correct that. kip_patches folder shouldnt be an issue, as neither hekate nor atmosphere loads that anymore.

Yep. I'd suggest removing sigpatches once you copy over the sys-patch as you don't need two things doing the same thing. Here's how.

What bth said, you're probably sending the wrong payload so double-check that. Are you using some custom Atmosphere pack? They might have compiled their own version of Atmosphere and you might need their version of fusee.bin as well, but I'm not sure about that. Do you have a modchip installed?
TIL that syspatches are a thing! Def converting over to those!

Where ls that wrltten?
Also ams 1.9.1 states supporting up to 20.1.0 not good idea to ipdate to 20.1.1 eveb less to 20.1.5 right?

when you say sys-patch is it the same as sysmodule 1.56?

Also how to know for sure sys module is functioning properly?

Everyone I am just very stupid.

I was throwing the fusee.bin on the root of the sd card instead of replacing the one in the bootloader/payloads. *facepalms*

Thank you @Blythe93 and @impeeza for the help!
you know i actualy meant to tell you to make sure that fusee.bin was in the right place its just i have been going through alot of drama lately and spaced out on it but im glad you figured it out

You probably need your keys, try to find a app called lock pick and dump your keys, 2 delete every mention of tinfoil in your sd card, and grab the tinfoil installer version. 3 use only sys patch, sig patches are very unreliable and need update every single time a new Nintendo switch came out. 4 verify if your syspatch modules are working in the Tesla menu.
I hope I help you ;)

i was able to remedy to that yesterday.
now going to clean sigpatches files like suggested, then apply sys patch again.

how do i know sys module was installed properly and working
Post automatically merged:

You must ensure the NFIM patches are active on SYS-Patch sysmodule.
this is getting confusing, several people suggested to remove sigpathces remains if using sys module. So i removed nfim ctest folder i don't see and nfim option to enable in sys patch .

Remove pretty much everything that's usually included in sigpatches archive file i.e.:

  • folders es_patches, nfim_ctest and nim-prodinfo-blank-fix from the atmosphere/exefs_patches folder.
  • folders fs_patches and loader_patches from the atmosphere/kip_patches folder.
  • patches.ini file from the bootloader folder.

Last edited by razovya,
I just did the modchip switch mod & i'm stuck at installing tinfoil , Apparently I found out I need sigpatch files for it to work, Can anyone share those files with me?

Read the first post in the thread. You can also use syspatch in addition to, or as a complete replacement for sigpatch files. It's all in the first post for you. :)
