'Artis Impact', a pixel art RPG from solo developer Mas, gets release date
After over four years of development, solo Malaysian developer Mas has today announced the release date of their hand-drawn pixel art RPG, Artis Impact. For the occasion, a new trailer was aired:
Set in a decaying world ruled by rogue AI, Artis Impact follows Akane, a stoic young woman with a mysterious past and surprisingly goofy streak. Alongside her sharp-tongued AI companion Bot, she takes on missions, helps strangers, and uncovers fragments of memory that hint at something much larger.
The story is narrative-focused with a linear main path, but enriched with optional side quests, hidden interactions, and occasional randomized events to reward curious players. It’s a world packed with expressive pixel animation, environmental detail, and heartfelt character-driven interactions which range from the emotional to the absurd.
Features of Artis Impact include:
- Frame-by-frame hand-drawn pixel animation
- A humorous and heartfelt narrative-driven adventure
- Optional side quests and hidden scenes for replay value
- Streamlined turn-based combat: no grinding, no filler
- Built entirely in RPG Maker MV by a solo developer
