The reason you probably don't hear about it too often is because the status colored were added in b9s 1.4, which I can assure you most noobs aren't running
boot9strap 1.4 has been out for three years now? There have been numerous people mentioning red, magenta, and white lights already. The guide's own troubleshooting FAQ only mentions white, magenta, and red, so I hope my surprise is in some way excusable.

But perhaps this is a sign of things to come.

I'm very curious if tinkering with the battery will help other people seeing the red/magenta light, as that's not a solution that's come up before either.

Maybe "most" was an over exaggeration, but I am aware if a lot of people still not running the newest version of b9s

hi im back, the red led percisted and even taking the battery dosent work anymore, now i have another sd, and what files should i migrate over to the new sd card and what files should i download

Like I said, I'm very surprised messing with the battery did something in the first place.

There is very likely something wrong with the internal hardware of your unit. There is no reason to expect changing your SD card will affect anything if it was working with the SD card before.

Hi, sorry for my broke english, y have a new 3ds and is semi bricked, by that i mean that the LED flashes blue for a second and then turns off, i tried to do al of the software metods but nothing really works, some time ago it revived out of nothing but just worked for two weeks, then, boom, error and its bricked again, if someone knows anything pls help me :D
I had a similar issue, try entering the "safety mode" by powering on while holding down the L, R, A, and D-Pad Up buttons. It should take to a screen that says "update your 3ds" on the top screen. Make sure your connected to the internet and see if you need an update, if you do, update , if you don't or it doesn't load to this menu, then you may be bricked.

I had a very similar issue yesterday where I literally thought that I damaged my 3DS for good... Basically I accidently opened it to harshly & it shut off & whenever I turned it on it would get stuck at a black screen (without sound & only the blue light on, although no popping sound like when the 3DS has the quite common broken hinge issue)

For me it helped when we opened my 3DS backplate (N3DSXL) & removed the SD card (I turned it on afterwards and it surprisingly showed a Luma set-up screen & I saved the settings, then properly booted into the Home menu (obviously without the SD card stuff)

When I reinserted the SD card, the 3DS screens started working as well like during the set-up before & I also tested the sound, the camera, anything related to the top screen as I thought that I damaged it. I noticed it days ago that my 3DS couldn't take Home Menu screenshots due to a SD card error. Therefore it might as well be a faulty SD card that causes this weird error to happen (probably due to the system being unable to read the Home menu data)

TL;DR: Even some "simple" errors as a faulty SD card might cause the black screen / blue light error unless it's really the hardware that is damaged. Personally I think that in my case it definitely had to do with the SD card as the system is unable to read the Home Menu data. If removing & reinserting your SD card (or changing it for a new one & restoring the CFW stuff on it) doesn't work, then it might be most likely & unfortunately an internal error.
