I want restore a nand which got created with ios to a different wii by using punetwiin. However the wii I want transfer TO was made after 2008. Should I still try it? The nand has priiloader. Or should I not try it and get a wii that supports boot2? Edit: Both wiis are rvl-001

Check the model number on the bottom of the label: https://gbatemp.net/threads/method-...all-bootmii-as-boot2-from-the-outside.666067/

BootMii isn't that big of a deal, it's just a nice to have. Without it you still have decent brick protection with Priiloader, and the option to unbrick with a hardware flasher if things go really wrong (as long as you have a working NAND backup or a keys dump), but most likely you will not need that.

Restoring NAND without BootMii is a bit risky though.
