Currys had instore preorders a while back claiming it was launch day stock.
Retailers in England tend to have stock time from time. They might even have if a person asks in store.

I was gonna go to the electronics department of John Lewis earlier today, but my gf needed to leave quickly so we went. We'll be back there tomorrow as we have free cake + free coffee via the rewards card.

I just hope it isn't the PS5 all over again, that was a PITA and even as a retail employee (not JL) getting hold of stock was hard.

After all the Pre-order and price uncertainty, I decided to use the money I saved up for a new GPU instead; Replacing my 9 year old GTX 1060 6GB card for a new RTX 5060 Ti 16GB card. It's still cheaper than the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle and Pro Controller 2. I'll get a Switch 2 later in the summer, just not right now.

Probably wise. I’m still anticipating a post-release price drop and soft ‘rerelease’ a la the 3DS.

Walmart is still pushing pre orders online after Target/Bestbuy sold out. I grabbed one from there with 0 lag or errors. $479.31 after tax. Next is going to Gamestop in person for the 2nd Switch 2

Live in America so I wasn't able to pre-order until today. All websites failed me. Went to my local GameStop and pre-ordered it in the store. They had 34 for the bundle and 15 for the base. Got my bundle and will be there midnight for the launch. Funny thing is, there was only 20 people in line for it. I was number 6.

Was able to snag three. Two base and one bundle. Target had a coupon that was 15% off one purchase and it worked for $70 off and last two were from Walmart. Thinking of selling the Bundle and keeping the target for hacking. Wondering what to do with the last base system, sell or keep for use and/or hacking. What are other people planning?

Might take a several months or a year or two, but something will come out at some point. Definitely keeping one sealed.

Walmart was periodically taking pre orders during my last comment b/c they purged bot purchases and those who tried to buy multiple Switch 2's. So they Restocked the Switch 2's for actual ppl to buy. Got the standalone Switch 2 from them by not giving up. I also put $300 to reserve the Mario Kart Bundle at a local gamestop. I'll be keeping the 2nd one in its box hoping something in the hack scene finds anything. I don't expect anything within the 1st 2 years, but ppl who wait get rewarded.

It'll be second hand; After all the initial ironing out happens too.
If it gets hacked early and some titles are good, I may look into it, but
I've never hacked systems when they were still supported ...so I guess I'm saving up for a Steamdeck and checking out the backlogs I have in that platform too :rofl2:

The only game that makes bro and I buy systems for is Monster Hunter
The recent titles have all been great in that they've been accesible in different platforms
