Emulation Gaming Switch 2 backwards compatibility list prediction

I'll guess it's less an emulation thing, that it could run everything perfectly fine like with using GameCube games on the Wii, and more that the design of the Switch 2 makes stuff that was built with the Switch in mind, like LABO, incompatible.

You could be right, I mean the CECHA01 PS3 plays PS2 games natively and only 3 games are reported not to work, and most Nintendo consoles with backwards compatibility use native backwards compatibility like the Wii U with Wii Games since its hardware although I have a feeling its emulation, since other then the games that use special controllers, it could be emulation, although we will have to wait for another leak or announcement to happen to see if it’s emulation or not

People are already saying that Nintendo won't update their games to support higher framerate/res because "it's not like them" or whatever. Even though Nintendo has been one of the better companies for BC and enhancing older games has really only been a 9th gen thing. The Switch was going to be Backwards Compatible with WiiU/3DS before they went with Nvidia for the X1.

Emulation is not feasible for the system to pull off with regards to battery life, upgrades, or graphical accuracy.
Translation layer would introduce a performance penalty, & God knows we don't need anymore of that for Switch games.

It'll probably be a hardware-based solution like the Xbox Series and PS5, unless AMD has a patent on those kinds of BC. I highly doubt they'll charge for a res/fps boost. Games that wouldn't be compatible would be like Labo VR that depends on the size of the tablet, since they'll probably let you pair switch 1 joycons.

It could be hardware based if they figure it out, I heard they’ve been testing switch games since the development, although I’m pretty sure the PS5 uses emulation for PS4, although I have a feeling they will use emulation for the switch 2, and I highly doubt they will do an FPS boost as well since some games may have issues with it

Meant to post this in the switch 2 group instead of the first one, idk how I missed that

Leaks have told us the switch 2 will be backwards compatible and it turns out it was indeed backwards compatible, and the Nintendo website states that not all games will be backwards compatible with the Switch 2 which most likely means it’s emulation like the Xbox 360 with OG Xbox or partial emulation like the CECHE01 PS3, so here are my predictions for what games I can think of and think will and will not be compatible with the switch 2 (Note: May not be in alphabetical order, this is not an actual compatibility list nor an accurate one, all information maybe fake or lesser true) :

Made this only for entertainment purposes, this is not an actual compatibility list, just a prediction of what I think will work and not work if they are using emulation for switch 1 games on the Switch 2, none of the information is true or might not be true in the future so do not believe anything on this compatibility list and wait for an official or true compatibility list when the system is out
For reference they give the same "not all software is compatible" warning on both the Switch Lite and OLED due to things like Labo.

Yes they will, because if MS/ Sony can do it, then the greediest game company of them all will also.
The switch was the only gen they did that with since no one bought a WiiU and they went from Discs/AMD/PowerPC/2 Screens ->Carts/Nvidia/ARM/1 Screen. Like I said, the switch was going to be backwards compatible with the WiiU. MS/Sony only charges for it when there are other substantial changes.

Im sure most games will work except the switch specific games like labo imo, just a hunch
and some indie eshop games

I think as long as it just requires the old controllers it might work. But with Labo if you need the screen, well you can probably modify the card board but I guess Nintendo will block it so you don't do that.
