Does anyone know how I can backup my Photo Dojo game
Use GodMode9
and save with all the images and audio? I dont wanna lose it
Saves could be saved into your sd card, check if you have a DCIM folder on the root of your sd card they could be there. No idea about the audio files tho

Is $250 a decent price for a dual IPS N3DSLL? The screens are a bit yellow but it looks like something from the factory and not due to time. No scratches on the body, just scuffs. Doesn't come with anything except Mario Kart 7.

Depends on the condition and if it comes with its original box, any games (physical or digital), and if it's a special or just regular edition etc.

That's how TN displays tend to look usually. Are you sure it's a dual IPS?

Maybe they've gone up in price, eh? Are you buying this locally or from a Japanese seller? If the former, might explain why it's a tad higher in price (i think)

No box or charger, just a copy of Mario Kart 7 [probably Japanese]. Looks flawless tbh, photos were high def and I saw nothing without a light being shone at it from certain angles. Only minor scuffs were visible then. Seller says its his and he never used it.

Yes, they are warm/yellowish head on, but the text doesn't fade at all when looked at from the sides.

Japanese seller.
Has 3dsident been ran to throughly verify that the screens are indeed ips instead of just trying to get it for more money?

I'm pretty sure modifying consoles is illegal in Japan, so it's unlikely. I have seen TNs before [irl and online] and it looks correct [i.e., like an IPS] to me.

It can be tricky to identify if it's IPS or TN over photos (sp the bottom screen), but if they're clear and made from the correct angles, i guess you could assume they are indeed the case. But to know for sure, you have to run 3dsident as mentioned.

hmm.. that doesn't stop them (or anyone) from modding their consoles.
unless the seller makes it clear that he never modded his, you have no way of knowing of whether the unit is modded or not until you check it yourself.

This is mainly based on my knowledge of DS Lite [TN] and DSiLL [IPS] screens, and it looks pretty convincing.

I'm not an expert on this but I've read about people getting arrested for the stupidest shit there, so who knows? It might be that the seller simply doesn't know how to use 3DSident/hb.

I'm looking for a cheat code that moves my character faster in Alpha Sapphire, but the only result I could find worked for Omega Ruby. Is there any way to convert an Omega Ruby cheat to an Alpha Sapphire cheat? If not possible, is there a way to create an Alpha Sapphire cheat to increase movement speed? Alternatively, is there a cheat to make dexnav encounters stay on screen forever until encountered?

Depends on what sort of cheat you found. The only reason I can think of why a cheat would work on one but not the other is if it somehow targets a particular title ID, and that's trivial to change.

Hey, so this may be a stupid question but… do forwarders exist for 3DS titles themselves? That is, I made a custom hshop banner and icon, but every time hshop updates, it overwrites the banner & icon data. I don't like that. But from what I can tell, a "forwarder" is basically a shortcut that could launch another title, so… are there any forwarders, or any other way short of modifying the CIA that would allow you to have a custom banner & icon on the home screen that launches an application?

I.E. the shortcut or forwarder would be static, set to launch a specific title (like hshop), so even if that title "updates" the banner and icon remain untouched.

I found this cheat to move at doubled speed but it crashes my Alpha Sapphire copy (v1.4). Im not sure if its because its a bad cheat or because its locked to Omega Ruby only.

Oh, I thought you were asking how to apply the cheat to Alpha Sapphire, but apparently you're doing that already.

Hello,

I recently purchased a new 3DS XL/LL (Japanese edition), and it's in great condition—no yellowing screens or any other issues. However, I’ve noticed that when the console is turned off and the screen transitions to the gray sleep mode screen, the borders have a slight white edge around them. It looks like light bleed, but under normal circumstances, this bleed isn’t visible. Is it normal for the edges to appear a bit white in the sleep mode screen?
Thanks!

Question about decrypting save data files
Total noob here, I'm trying to decrypt sav files from an old not-CFWd 3DS, of which I have the full folder Nintendo 3ds and even the movable.sed file, but I can't understand how to do things.
Many say that "you can decrypt files with ninfs", but I can't get the gist of it: I mounted the SD card on ninfs, and all the files were the same as before, so (from my understanding") they aren't decrypted I guess.
What am I missing?
Also, when I decrypted them, how should I proceed?
Should I just put them in the respective folder on a 3DS, or do something else with them? I'm sorry for asking something that has so many threads about it, but I can't seem to get started.

Surely you must have seen several links to https://gbatemp.net/threads/restore-save-data-from-dead-3ds-2ds.606907/ ? It is more straightforward than using ninfs. (I for one haven't suggested ninfs in some time now.) Be sure to read the first few posts in the thread.

How did you get movable.sed without installing CFW..?

Hello,

someone asked me if they could use a bigger SD card with an old 3DS. I copied everything from the old 8GB SD card to my PC and then formatted a 32GB microSD card to FAT32 and then copied the files to this card.

However, the 3DS won't boot with the new card. It boots to the Luma3DS menu, then after 3 seconds it reboots. And after reaching the Luma3DS menu again, it freezes.

I tried to reformat the SD card with different apps, I tried 5 different microSD card adapters and I tried another microSD card (16GB). It's always the same behavior. If I use the old 8GB SD card it boots just fine.

Any ideas? The 3DS is on version 9.2.0-20E and I'm not sure which Luma version is used, but the files are from May of 2017 so it's probably an old version.

That is exactly how it is supposed to work, yes.

Did you test the 32 GB card with h2testw while it was empty?

I formatted it again and ran the test, seems fine:

Test finished without errors. You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again. Writing speed: 5.76 MByte/s Reading speed: 22.4 MByte/s H2testw v1.4

I attached an image of the contents of the card if that helps. I have no idea why it's not working
