My V1 switch seems to be ridiculously slow when loading games. Haven’t really played around with anything nor have I updated the CFW since Mario Wonder came out so not sure what made it get slow. Im using a U1 Sandisk SD card. Would a V3 SD card help? Would it be a case of simply copying and pasting the contents over to the new SD card?

I have two Switches, one is a fully hacked V1 and the other is a stock OLED for online play without any modifications.

Is it safe to connect both consoles to the same internet connection?

My V1 has tinfoil and youtube, so I need to connect to the internet.

I don't see why it wouldn't be safe? I connect all of my Switches, both hacked and stock, to the same connection without any issue.

Thanks.

Another question. I've had my 3DS and WiiU both hacked with online access to the Nintendo Network using a Nintendo account. Is it safe to use that same account on a stock Nintendo Switch?

I have a SanDIsk Extreme microSD card which is a U3 card in both of my hacked Switches which I mainly picked due to their reliability, but I believe that U1 should be enough for the Switch. I also use cheap Kingston CANVAS Select™ which is a U1 SD card on my Switch Lite and haven't noticed anything loading up any slower than on my hacked Switches. To be honest, though, I don't own any resource-heavy games on it, only some light indie titles that I feel like playing on the go so I can't really fully test it.

It depends. If you're using sysNAND CFW, it should be simple copy-paste. However, if you're using emuNAND CFW, check this guide for more info.

Can't really say much about it but I do have my main account on my hacked Wii U and one of my stock Switches.
So far, so good - no issues that I'm aware of, but don't take my answer for granted, it might be worth checking with other members here.
Not that it matters on the Wii U as its store isn't working anymore. Same for the 3DS as well.

Like Tetris effect might take up to 4/5mins to load. Same with Super Smash Bros. Would having more games saved on my memory card cause this? I think I maybe 200gb in on a 512gb memory card.

Are there any files from tinfoil I could try cleaning up?

Thanks for the link.

Perhaps, but probably not to that extent. 4-5min is a bit too long.

I'm not familiar with the way Tinfoil saves the games on the SD card and how to clean them up. I personally use DBI to install my games while connected to the dbibackend on my PC.

You might wanna wait for someone else to reply and say their opinion on the matter, but If it were up to me and the load times were that bad, I'd back up the microSD card by following the guide I've linked to in my previous post and then test the microSD card with the h2testw to see if it's legit and working properly. Note that the contents will be wiped entirely if your run h2testw on it. Therefore, backup is necessary before proceeding with the check. In case an error shows up, I'd switch to another card, preferably SanDisk Extreme as I've found these reliable enough for my needs. 256GB should have enough space for you to fit even a couple of bigger games.

This happens to mine every few months. Generally I only needed to do a full reboot and it would be fine again. At best it will be working as normal, at worst it might be a sign of a failing SD card.

I have an unpatched v1 that hangs at NSW logo 9/10 times on boot and eventually freezes up if it does ever boot, and I’m pretty certain it is the wifi chip.

Is there any recommendation on how to “pull” or disable/destroy it permanently so I can boot and not use wifi? Nuclear option

What do you mean by a reboot? I turn my console off fully when not in use.

My one freezes as well but never when plugged in or docked.

Hello guys a little question, months ago i installed a game with the jpn region but now its available the usa region with the latest version, theres a way to export the jpn saves to the usa version? I tried with jksv but i have two different games with the same tittle and cant restore them with jksv

well off topic but why have i seen a bunch of Colombians here lol

just in case:
try to find out which is the specific save file for the Japanese game (I don't know how)
check if they are compatible
and replace the English save file with the Japanese one using tools like dbi

to the mod that translated my post: thank you, i thought to speak to him on the native language from my country, but i hadnt thought about if anyone else had that problem and had to ask. sorry!

Any way to transfer a save from a modified console running CFW to a stock console, assuming that the modified console is banned? I would like to transfer over several Pokemon game save files, trading over one pokemon at a time is just too time consuming (but that part works at least).

High chance you would get the stock one banned too doing that.

Doing what? When I go through the official save transfer menu the CFW console just throws an error (2137-8028) after I select the game who's save data I wish to transfer. I can never get the two consoles to talk to each other when it comes to save data transfers. Local version matching works just fine both ways, interestingly enough. I was wondering if there's some trick, a setting, a specific procedure or whatever to make this possible. I'm not too worried about consoles getting banned, I'm aware there is a risk when doing unintended things with it. I certainly won't complain if my own actions net me a ban.

Right now I'm considering modchipping the stock console, launch into atmosphere once, get into JKSV and restore the saves that way, then just never boot CFW ever again, maybe even remove the chip afterwards. That seems pretty involved though. At that point I might as well just turn the stock console into an unbanned CFW variant, which I would like to avoid if possible.

Since pokemon has an online feature good chance you will get that system banned for injecting saves.

I haven't updated my Switch since FW 16.1 and ATS 1.6, like it always happens to me I have forgotten how to updated it, and lost the bookmarks I had to sites that had neat tutorials. I don't ask for any download links just a trusty step by step guide that I can once more bookmark to be able to refer to in the future, does anyone knows of any such thing?

I just installed an instinct v6s on my oled and it boots straight to ofw. tried to flash the firmware from here Xnopyt github but I think it's hanging, how long should it take?

Whenever I try to play a coop game that asks to use a profile for the second player, atmosphere crashes. Is there any way to fix this so me and my so can keep progress on each of our profiles while playing Mario party for example?

Or maybe to be able to play animal crossing at the same time, Iirc there's an option in the phone to invite a local player to play in the island, it crashes as well whenever we try to use two profiles at the same time.

update: I think I'm making progress, that chip wouldn't take an update but a different one did. installed that one, points all check out with the multimeter. when I boot it, I get no video output and blue breathing LED on the chip. what now
