How may I mark Mii's as made on my Wii console transferred from another via Savegame Manager GX?

The problem is that I am unable to do this because savegame manager GX's feature to do this seems to not work. It does nothing for me. Is there any other way? I clicked the / button at the top to make the Mii editable.

Basically you'll need to make a Mii on your console and backup that, then in a hex editor you'll need to find the System ID (4 bytes starting at address 1C) and copy and paste-overwrite it over the same location in Miis you want to unlock :)

what would i look for here? this is the mii i made on the console to get console id from

I recently wanted to edit miis imported from (now broken and buried) wii and used unblue mii
https://wiibrew.org/wiki/UnBlue_Mii

It worked fine - just had to re-select my new miis again in games that use them (wiifit+).
Is savedata from games like Wii Sports preserved? From what I've been finding online recently is that Wii Sports (and Wii Play, though I do not own this one) use the system mii index. The moment I made the mii editable with SaveGame Manager GX rev 76, Wii Sports lost my save data associated with my mii (and considered it to be a new one).
