Hello,
I currently have the discontinued brook ps3/ps4 to wii/wiiu adapter that wirelessly connects to the wii and lets a ps3/4 controller pretend to be a wii classic controller. I use this adapter with the Magic NS adapter to be able to use the Wii U pro controller in the wii mode. the only problem is that the homebrew apps do not recognize the brook adapter so i am unable to use the pro controller with nintendont and gamecube games anymore unless I unlink and re-pair the wii u pro controller to the wii. I’m assuming that the homebrew apps are having trouble reading the brook adapter because it’s a 3rd party accessory but I wanted to know if there was a way to add a way to be able to read it regardless. If not is it possible that there are plugins available to allow the wii u pro controller to be read as a wii classic controller by the wii? the regular wii can already connect to the wii u pro controller and it works in the homebrew applications too. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done. Thanks 😁

it didn’t work. it’s not connecting via usb it’s connected via bluetooth. the adapter syncs to the wii like a wii remote and then allows for a ps3 controller to pretend to be a classic controller. the controller doesn’t work in any homebrew apps including nintendont. does it maybe have something to do with how homebrew apps read 3rd party wii remotes and their accessories? cause a real wii remote with a classic controller attached works in all homebrew apps.

my setup is the same as his at 11:25 with the wii u pro controller. homebrew applications do not work with the adapter. Is there a solution to make homebrew apps read the brook super converter adapter? cause if there was it would allow for the wii u pro controller to control Wii, Wii U (classic controller enabled games) and Gamecube games to all be playable without syncing and resycing between the broom adapter and the actual wii.

3rd party controllers are famously problematic with homebrew, there have been some fixes in the past that improve compatibility, but it requires that a developer has the particular 3rd party controller or adapter that is problematic in order to troubleshoot and work on a fix, needless to say it's not realistic to do this for every 3rd party controller.
It would be nice if there was a more universal fix, but in the end this is not really a problem with homebrew, it's a problem with 3rd party accessory manufacturers not following official specifications and having to guess at how to make things work, and since those manufacturers only test their hardware using official software and don't test it with homebrew, compatibility with homebrew is not guaranteed.
Fakemote can be used for PS3/PS4 controller support but it doesn't work with other controllers and doesn't seem to be in active development, and there's no way to use the Magic-NS with it as the Magic-NS is not compatible with PS3/PS4 so it can't emulate those controllers. Any adapter made for PS3/PS4 should work with it, though.

okay I guess that makes sense. My next is are there any homebrew plugins that make the wii u pro controller compatible with the wii mode? I don't think there is as i've looked everywhere. it's a 1st party controller that connects to the wii and many people own. i'm just saying it would be nice to play wii u, wii, and gamecube games without switch controllers 😅😅

i am curious to understand how did you reach the functionality.
i have the same brook adapter, red one for switch, flashed with the latest wii U adapter (white) firmware for classic controller.

their tutorial mentions that you go to the Wii U, you connect the brook, you connect a cable to the brook and connect the ps4 controller to the other end of the cable, and you press a button combination and the led starts flashing, then you hit the sync button on the wii U and the system will detect the controller, (this is all done with the Cable connected, as soon as you remove the cable the controller turns off and if you turn it on it does not get detected on wii U mode, so it only works connected to the cable.

that adapter works when you are using a Cable from the controller to the adapter. but after all that process on wii U if you go to "vWii" the adapter stops working when you launch the homebrew channel... this is with a wire.
homebrew channel in vWii only works with a wiimote.

Then i tried to make it work WIRELESS..... i tried to connect a mayflash NS adapter, (the first version) to the brook adapter, and paired it with the blue blinking light, the ps4 controller was connected wirelessly, I was able to move the hand on vWii channels, but as soon as i press a button like "A", the controller starts to rumble and never ends.

i am missing something? i don´t think you need to pair again the thing on vWii settings, besides there is limited bluetooth pairing on vWii as it asks to press button 1 and 2 and none of the buttons i press detected it, it only detects a wiimote pressing 1 and 2
