This will only replace the map, not the progress of your save
Here is the way I proceeded:
1/ I used JSVK to create my save and kept a version of it on my PC (thanks to all the comments of this thread)
2/ I donwloaded the last version of NHSE and a dream island from this thread
3/ I dumped all the acres and building (4 files) and wrote down the X/Y plaza coord.
4/ I opened the main file from my save file and imported the 4 files from my dream island (and changed the X/Y plaza coordinates).
5/I saved everything and zip the file
6/I used JSVK (not applet version) and restore the zip file from step 5
7/ and ....saw the beginning sequence of the game.
This drives me crazy. i tried to just change one item of my save file (the one from step 1 without changing the map) and saw the same start screen of the game. I can't even change a single item.

Ok, I found weird that happens... The only thing I could think it's using mobile spawner, there is a PC and android version.
Just open the map editor and load each file In game.
Also I have an older version of jksv (doesn't use zip) and works fine, you could try and check that.
And If u can upload your save and Dream island files so I can give it a check
