I haven't seen anyone else post a photo of this flex and I thought it was somewhat interesting

Kamikaze is getting pretty mainstream when Aliexpress starts selling flex cables for it. :D

Why would they have cut the shield in the bottom?

I don't like these kinds of flex ribbons. The fact these are meant to be fitted on the screw post between the board and the heatsink assembly does not help to change that. But it's good to know they're out there.

you could just cut that off and use jumper wire connect D point

Out of curiousity, why do you dislike flex ribbons for this?

they'll move when you screw in the heatsink, if there's too much stress they can rip D point off motherboard.

The one included with instinct nx is much better designed, although I still prefer to connect everything with wires directly instead of using the ribbon cable

Precisely. There's no horizontal slack, so any movement can stress solder joints or damage traces.

They also raise the heatsink on that screw post (by whatever the ribbon's thickness is) so it will not sit so perfectly flat on the APU die. Not enough to have any effect, even more so with the copper foil and paste... but I don't like that.

Yes, but I'd rather avoid the flex altogether and use wire all the way.

Anyone have any luck tracking these down? No matter what combination of search terms I use on Ali, I can't see to get these to pop up. Wonder where the heck they are coming from as I would love a 20 pack.

Bah, unfortunate for me that seller doesn't ship to the U.S..

Just wrote the seller asking if there was a way.

I am planing on getting them and asked the seller if he can send me a picture of everything included before i buy it. If you can not find it, i can send them to you once i get them. I am in EU
