I tried Blur and Gears of War games with my friend. We both connected to the same public room and created a host/party, but neither of us could see each other's host/party, also tried private room but same results, Why is that?

Going by the picture, it looks like you either need to enable UPnP on your router or manually open ports.

I will note that enabling UPnP is not a recommended security practice, but it can make things like this easier.
