So, I'm making this post because I was a little over-optimistic when it came to using Unity 2.6.0 for developing software for the Wii.

In newer versions of Unity, web intergration is a lot more feasible & quite frankly very easy to add. However, 2.6.0 doesn't allow you to use a lot of these features as they were released in Unity versions from 2017 and beyond. Currently, I'm curious what can be achieved as there's certainly a lot of potential to develop new titles for the system considering the use of an NDEV is basically out the window now. I had a range of ideas of software that could potentially be made until I found out about these limitations to put it simply.

I may start trying to add premade environments in to see how well the Wii's hardware can handle it. In the future I would like to try and see the posibilities around online play, but I have a couple friends I would need to consault about that that.

If any other Unity developers wanna reach out and maybe talk about minature projects we could possibly produce for experimental purposes, please leave a comment or message me :-)

The highest version we got to run with Wii stuff is 3.5.6f4 (thanks to Big Time Rush game exported with that version), which is pretty unstable but at least its better than 2.6. It supports audio and rigged fbx.

I’m currently making a simple game with that version as a test.
