Thank mate, will try that. You need to change the audio driver. One of them causes random freeze lock ups.
I can't remember if you need to set it to audren or switch_thread.
Obviously it will be the one that your setting isn't currently at right now.
Try /flycast/data folder for biosCould anyone please explain, how to play the games? I put the bios files (dc_boot.bin, dc_flash.bin) into
/flycast/ and the games into /flycast/gamefolder. (e.g. Shenmue2Disc1)
Games are in the format with files (e.g. for Shenmue 2, Disc 1):
Shenmue II v1.001(Disc1).gdi
track01.bin
track02.raw
track03.bin
track04.raw
track05.raw
track06.bin
I also tested the zip-format.

I feel like no matter how and where I look around, I too fail to not only understand where the BIOS files goes, but also the ISOI thought I'd be able to either find a walkthrough on YouTube or at least some kind of documentation, but... Is it really supposed to be that easy to figure out? Or is it because Flycast is mostly used on PC and much easier to set up there?

Oh so it is supposed to be that easy after all! Thanks for the reply, I'll try again later today and see if it works better this time, because earlier when I gave it a try it wouldn't add anything/save what I was trying to add!Just put a Flycast folder in the root of your SD card. And put a folder called Data in that. Put your bios in there.
Then in settings set your directory folder and set any folders that are holding your game filesView attachment 427020
Yeah same here actually, been doing what I can to make it work, including replacing the BIOS with files from another source (just in case the first ones were wonky) but... I'm out of ideas nowThanks, but it doesn't work. BIOS not loading and games not loading. The loading progress bar is at zero.

ok. Whats the issue guys. Tell me what is not working. Becuase it dosnt work flawlessly for one person, and not at all for the next, on the same device. So there is something wrong with what you are doing, or what you downloaded. I can help you if you just tell me what you have done and where your stuck.Oh so it is supposed to be that easy after all! Edit: And to be honest, I feel like the interface really is meant for a computer and hasn't been adapted to a console, like with those question marks on the right that I'm clearly supposed to be able to hover a mouse over in order to get some information from them, but I can't do that here with a touchscreen

Huh, it actually works now after replacing the .nro with the latest master build, instead of the v2.3 file that I downloaded from another place on GitHub!Not sure what the difference here is but hey, glad it suddenly works!
I just tried Sonic Adventure one using sys clk & Over Clocked it to the maximum and at the title screen the game audio is Crackling.Yes it is. Perhaps the retroarch core has some extras, but the standalone is ahead in performance and fidelity, and still in active development by flyinghead.

Most games are perfectly playable at dock speeds. Is overclocking still necessary for flycast on the Nintendo switch?
Thanks! Are the default settings in the standalone Flycast .nro good enough to ensure most games run well? Most games are perfectly playable at dock speeds.
idk but i don't care too much. just ignore those slowdowns here and there, and amost any game can be played, including sonic adventure. Thanks! Are the default settings in the standalone Flycast .nro good enough to ensure most games run well?
@ber71 So basically PAL versions right? Because afik there's no option to make the game run at 50Hz from within the emu settings right? That said, if you have the choice, run the games at 50Hz instead of 60.
