Hello, I was thinking is it technically possible to run a homebrew file manager like nx-shell with a mig switch so that the V2 switch could be softmoddable? I'm just asking so pls don't insult me
no! for the console the MIG is a standard cartridge! no comunication with the controller, that way the ninjas will be able to tell is a mig.

I really hope the next gen of firmware uses the ESP32 wireless to allow a small webpage to change games or at least a remote button or app on phone.

I can not backup my emummc. Hekate can not find the partition. Everything works normal and I can boot in to emummc. The sd card is fat32 format and the emummc is in files format.

is very possible you have a bad mod chip installation, some resistor values could be wrong or some short.

also there is the possibility of a damaged EMMC.

Hmm. The values look fine. I was able to backup the emmc and restored it without errors. I can create emummc but not do a backup as hekate could not find the files. Can I try another sd card?

I fallowed the instructions to create emummc. When it asked which type of emummc to install, it gave two options of partition and files. I picked files format and not the partition. That skipped the emummc partitioning process. So can the emummc be backed up if the files format route is chosen? I read that if the emummc is in files format. It can be copied to another sd card of bigger size. Or did I miss something.

Is it possible to play any Call of Duty (except Mobile and PSP) on Switch? I can imagine COD 1 or 2 can run well via Linux. I guess 4 or MW2 is out of the question.

If you chose files when you created it, your emuMMC is stored as regular files within a folder in the SD card, not a partition. This would explain why Hekate cannot find a raw emuMMC partition to back up - there isn't one.

But having it file-based also means you don't need Hekate or NxNandManager to back up that emuMMC, you can simply copy the files straight off the SD card to another one, or anywhere else to back it up.

Hello I was just wondering will there be any ways to mod the V2 switch except the modchip? I'm just asking because modchip seems too dangerous for me because I have 0 experience in soldering. I don't wanna bother anyone so i understand If you get mad at me

As answered so many times on the past, even on EACH existing guide and almost all mod threads here on GBATemp, NO!, WILL NO BE another way to modify a V2 or new console on the near future (and I think never).

Any decent phone or laptop shop will have the experience and skills to install a switch modchip, even some tempers offer the service.

Is it normal that DBI throw an error when I exit the app while is running in applet mode?

I guess that in regular mode (full memory) It doesn’t happen.

It occurs with 658 and last Russian version

I my switch says my burnt fuses (0DM 7/6): 19-0 (HOS: 17.0.0+) which atmosphere version should I be trying to load after a repair. I have tried multiple already and nothing wants to load or works?

YES, YOU SHOULD NEVER RUN HOMEBREW ON APPLET MODE, ALWAYS USE FULL APPLICATION MODE BY PRESSING R WHILE LOADING A TITLE AND DO NOT LET GO UNTIL HOMBREW LOADER IS SHOWN

Always use the most recent Atmosphère version DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE OFFICIAL REPO: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases even if you think you have it, sometimes it get silently updated.

fuses DO NOT AFFECT Atmosphère, only have effect on OFW

You need firmware 17.0.0+, you can use the latest Atmosphere.

I tried the latest and it does nothing but boot to a black screen or I get an atmosphere screen and it just sits there.

Go into the DBI settings (or edit the dbi.config file) and disable the Exit to Homescreen option.
