I dont know if it has been answered before but after a lot of time I came back and I wanted to play some GameBoy Advance so I had to link again an account to open the app; so the messages when every game starts show again.

Is there any way to avoid those messages with a linked account or have an unlinked account and open Nintendo's online emulators?
like on emu ? crate some fake accounts and link them before making emu xD iam doing that for my fiends but for my self ofc i have only one main account linked because i was stupid enough :D

Nha the account is not the problem, I can link it and unlink with ease in just a few seconds, but:

Account unlinked:
Pros: no connections aka no popups
Cons: cant open emulators

Account linked:
Pros: open emulators~
Cons: every time I open a game try to connects and after a bit shows an error (then the game starts)

I was searching for a way to have both pros and no cons at the same time. I created a new account and linked it so i have the main unlinked so never shows those errors and the secondary linked to open the emulators.

But having 2 accounts.... :(

Dont know about those problems, I just updated the atmosphere and firmware to latest version (had 17.0 before).

Before that few months ago I unlinked using goldleaf and linked using the tinfoil. But since I discovered this app (yesterday) Ive been testing a lot linking and unlinking with no issue.

What kind of problems do u have?

until you forget to turn your wifi off i mean when you dont use wifi when your account is linked is all good on linkalho but if not atmo was generating hundreds of crash reports of something so fast that system was slowing down or even crash if i remeber correctly correctly :P

Oh yeah when I updated I cleaned some folders and I accidentaly erased the dns blocker so after a few seconds after start, the whole atmosphere chrashed everytime.

Just restoring those files and no chrashes while wifi is on, like It should be~

i dont think it is that simply but maybe they fix it somehow on atmo side not linkalho who knows :o

Hi, just got my OLED and I love the emulators. Having the same problem, if I am online while using CFW on EMUNAND and linked with linkalho, console gets soo slow and eventually crashes. Any solutions to this yet?

Also, would making the erp_reports folder read-only solve this issue, or even with that would the console still try to generate the reports and become slow?

I really don't know what to do. I have to go online sometimes to update things in RetroArch, and everytime I get problems.

Thanks!

I just finished unlinking and linking using Linkalho in emuMMC, but none of the NSO apps open. Running latest Atmosphere in emuMMC. Originally the apps worked since it transfered my accounts during setup, but I hit that weekly online check and can't bypass it. I was reading this could get around it, but not sure what I'm doing wrong.

A Nintendo Account is required.

use linkleho, AND turn on airplane mode. Easiest solution.

When I linked using Linkalho it asked for a reboot and then caused my Switch OLED doesn't want to turn on for a long time (purple light blinking, purple then blue one time, purple then orange/yellow another time). I'm now afraid to do an unlink for fear my OLED won't turn on again. Can I just delete the .nro? What will happen if I do that?

I have no idea what may be the cause of your OLED not turning on after linking/unlinking (maybe the whole modchip learning procedure?), but deleting NRO won't do a thing i.e. it'll remain the same as before deletion. In order to unlink your fake/generated account, you'll need to run app one more time and unlink your account(s) or restore previously made backup (assuming that you've made one in a first place).

I see, thank you Blythe. I will let it be for now then. What is the downside or danger of not unliking account?

There should be no danger if everything's linked/unlinked properly i.e. the process isn't interrupted by sudden power loss. a faulty SD card or similar.
As for the downside, some games (like NSO emulators) require linked NNID in order to work, meaning they will no longer work.

Note that I'm using v1 unpatched Switch so I'm not sure if something's different for hardmodded Switches.

I would suggest anyone that forks this in the future to change the terminology, I was going to use this but I was genuinely confused with the constant mention of "NNID".
could of done a 2 second google search and found the meaning of NNID, that's what i done.

I know exactly what it is, I was confused by the fact that it is related to Nintendo Network, not Nintendo Switch Online. Two completely different things.
