If I get brave and update a game ( vice city) because that's the only one so far the requires an update to play , and I get banned will I still be able to play offline with the other games. I wiped one of my kids old switches that they don't play and made another account so I really don't care too much about a ban . I just use this for long car rides. Mig v1 on an unmodded switch.

That happen when you don't read/understand the documentation, the bans have nothing to do with the account, are per console. Wipe a console DO NOT prevent a ban.

If the game isn’t from that public dump updating should be fine

As I understand it, they will only provide the programming software for their device, so it will still be a paperweight without the firmware to run backups.

I've seen it. I just still is baffled why they would send it out without any software.

Hello, I just got my migswitch and I'm having some problems.

I have dumped some games but I don't get all of them. I put about 11 games in their folders (.xci) and their data files, but I only get 4 games.

What could be the problem ?

No full dumps, invalid folder/files names (UTF-8 characters), damaged SD Card.

read previous posts.

rename files/folders to simple names


tests your sd card
 
Does anyone know anything about these groups? And why would they make such firmware for free? I have a feeling UnlockSwitch will try to trick as many people as possible into buying their "dummy" flashcards with the promise that the firmware will come later from someone else. I hope to be proven wrong though.

they probably think it will help them not to be sued if it has no firmware, or they haven't found anyone to change Migs firmware enough to look it like their own.lol
