Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (ps1)
Power Rangers the movie (snes)
Power Rangers fighting edition (snes)

Are my favorites power rangers games
My favorite game is the Power Rangers Beats of Power Special Edition Openbor game. It's free and works on Wii.

It brings together all the good stuff from the Snes and Sega Genesis versions with a lot of gameplay improvements.

I highly recommend getting one of these

When i got mine the top bumper triggers were configured wrong but after seaching online how to switch them I find it works really well.
Sadly you can only use 2 of the bumpers normally with wiistation without having to combo but for most games you can just configure for the ones you need like for resident evil.
Hope this helps.
I cannot buy it 🥲, but I hope for WiiStation with HID support for DS4, would help me a lot, but thanks, maybe in a near future.

Last night I done a bit of testing on this new build.
Tested a fair few different games and its great to see that Judge Dread now plays pretty much flawlessly which it didn't on the previous build I was using.
Tony hawks 2 still has some grafix and audio glitches at times.
FF7 battle scenes has a few slow downs in places (mostly on main bosses) but isn't as bad as it was on previous build i was using.
One issue I have noticed is that is about 1 in 4/5 times when going to quit the emulator, wiistation will freeze and I needed to turn the power off on wii to restart.
I'm booting games through wiiflow.
Settings are.

General

Lightrec
Newsoft
Select bios - Sd
Boot through Bios - No
Fast load - No

Video

Limit FPS - Auto
Frame skip - off
Dithering - Default
Filters - All on

On another positive its great to see that game cube controllers auto connect now so i no longer need to exit game to wiistaton when auto booting a game for the controller to work.

I hope these findings help.
And thanks again for your works, its been great to play judge Dread again and i look forward to playing it all the way through when i find the time.

try using the old Soft GPU.
some games could have GFX glitches on New Soft GPU but not on Old Soft GPU, and viceversa.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind on future testing.
So i've just had a bit of a play with the settings, switching to old soft didn't help much but after going to video settings and turning off all filters and Dithering I can say Tony Hawks 2 runs great on the wiistation.

Tested

Simple Character 2000 Series Vol. 08 - Kagaku Ninja-tai Gatchaman - The Shooting (Japan), works fine, but during heavy action (particularly when using the Bomb Items or too many enemies) it slowdowns to 51-55fps

Simple Character 2000 Series Vol. 16 - Gamba no Bouken - The Puzzle Action (Japan)
, Works fine, full speed.

Lightrec + Old Gfx + CHD

Strange 🤔
Don't know for the NTSC version, but the PAL-FR one works perfectly fine for me (with the 4 discs (.bin) patched with ppf files, to bypass ap-protection. It seems that SBI files are not working with this emulator, so ppf patches are the way to go. Without doing that, yeah, I had infinite black screen issue too.).
Hello jimtsu,
I have followed your instructions by applying ppf files, the game can be launched (PAL-FR) but discussion message between characters does not appear (I cannot see discussion text). Is there some config to apply or another patch to see messages. I'am using WiiStation_Ver2.4

Just done a few more tests on games i had troubles with on the previous build I was using.

Fifa 98 road to world cup. pbp
Fifa world cup 2002 .pbp
Tony hawks 1.pbp
Hogs of war .cue +.bin

All now play well with these settings.

General

Lightrec
Newsoft
Select bios - Sd
Boot through Bios - No
Fast load - No

Video

Limit FPS - Auto
Frame skip - off
Dithering - None
Filters - All off

From playing around with these and other games I'm finding these to be the best default settings to use to avoid game issues.

Also to avoid a likly crash upon exiting and needing to stand up I'm finding it best now to turn wii off with wiimote when I'm done with wiistation, instead of exiting back to wiiflow through the quit button.

i have lag/hang problems when using games in chd format is this normal or not? im using usb hdd
Even with the CHD/PBP updates, its best to stick with BIN/CUE, also try to stick with USB thumbdrive, Wii is NOT very friendly with USB portable HDDs, specially NOT with that acursed cable.

ok. but wii games works perfectly, i'll try bin cue

Is there some trick to getting memory cards and native saves to work? I see strange behaviour and cannot save from within game then have that save file loaded no matter what I try. For example, I play Spyro and save in-game and it shows a file but when you go to load the file (same game session), the file is not there. Same behaviour with Lunar Silver Star Story - I save the first chance I get in game, and while still in the game's menus I switch to slot 2 then back to slot 1 and the save is no longer there. Worse yet at that point I can't create new save files...

I checked the SD card and no matter what settings I try, only "slot2.mcd" is created. A slot1.mcd is never created even if it's the only memcard selected in the WiiStation settings. I do see the game-specific generated save files on the SD but they don't load in-game. I tried the "Current ISO settings" and "Load MemCard" which says saves are loaded but same result in-game: no visible save files. I try "Save MemCards" immediately after saving in-game but it always says "nothing to save". I also noticed that no matter which ISO I load, WiiStation always says "Save file found on memcard" which obviously is not true since I'm loading a new game and/or deleted all saves from the SD.

I'm trying this all on a Wii using this version of WiiStation: /xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022/releases/tag/WiiStation_Ver3.2

Save states work fine but those won't suffice for multi-disc games....

Any ideas?

why does every version freezes when i hit "quit"? Not always but pretty often. Is there a version that doesn't have that issue?

First of all, most of the time the Memory Card saving issues happens because: users don't use real BIOS instead of HLE.
Go to Settings, then in "General", set the "Select Bios" option as "SD" or "USB" (but not HLE) and set "Boot Through Bios" as "On".
Also try not to use Fast Load, because while useful for games which have longer loading times, it might break some games.

why does every version freezes when i hit "quit"? Not always but pretty often. Is there a version that doesn't have that issue?
Maybe this commit could fix crash on exit, really unsure but here removed an unnecessary function call at boot: https://github.com/xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022/commit/8ade691d2b9233702be9fa22684fd1d41c4ed9c4

Try using BIN/CUE. CHD might have problems on Wii...

I don't seem to have any issues with saving other than to save I find after saving in game I need to exit to the wiistation browser for the save to take effect through auto save feature.
After that takes place i go back to my game.
Only time this has irritated me and my saves haven't saved is when for whatever reason a game has crashed and I've not exited back to wiistation before hand.
My guess is the save takes place when it does an auto save then creates a separate memory card for each game or writes over the save which is already there.

In settings my saves are set up like this.

Memcard save device - SD
Auto save memcards - yes
Save state device - SD
Enable Memcard - both enabled

If your settings are not like this be sure to save settings by clicking save settings in general.

I've just got to disk 3 of ff7 like this using wiistation 4.0
One additional note is I've found each disk has its own memory card with multi disk games so unlike with an actual PS1 the memory card isn't shared which currently has me thinking if I'll be able to do the second scenarios on RE2.
Think I'm gunna test it with a speed run now.

Hope this helps.
