After testing I how now realised that this theme set will work well with wiiflow lite from version 5.5.0 but it works best with version 5.5.4

About this pack.

This is a blank custom theme pack that can be applied to your wiiflow in multiple ways.
You can either add it as a full build, just as a blank theme or a bit of both.
The full build is 308 MB and the standard blank custom theme alone is about 35MB.
This pack also comes with a way to have all 20 looks for the BCT show as themes in wiiflow and for them all to only take up 93mb.
As standard this theme comes with a plain black background, images used hear are from the looks that can be applied to it.

Unlike most other wiiflow themes, this theme introduces 4 new buttons to the flow. Genres, Hacks, Japan and Favorites.
Blue 1.png

There are 19 buttons in genres to access your roms from, 6 in hacks and 4 In Japan.

These are the systems set to the genre buttons in the full build.

This themes full build has been structured to work with the wiiflow 2024 plugins pack ROMS and BOXCOVER layout.
If you have used that pack you should simply be able to merge the blank custom theme with it by
dragging the folders contents to the root of your SD card after renaming your original plugins folder if you wish to do so that way. More info on this in the read mes inside this pack.

Aswell as the theme also included hear are the emulator .dol that are set up to work with it and an altered platform file which should enable you to also have screenshots, rom data and cartart show up in these new buttons.
It is advised to back up your own platform.ini file just incase this one causes any issues for you.
This set also includes 3 different cover flow options. one with 4, one with 6 and one with 11.
As standard the theme is set to six which all systems share.

This pack comes with Tegridy, as well as 19 other looks that can be easily applied to the blank custom theme if you chose to just apply BCT as one theme labeled custom. More info in (2. Custom theme addons)

This is my 3rd and last wiiflow lite theme pack post so I hope this works well for you all.
Also a massive thanks to everyone else who has put in a spectacular amout of work in bringing wiiflow to where it is today and all the people that worked hard to make all the cores and emulators that make it what it is.

Incase anyone may be intrested I've just put together a new button set where the buttons have 30% transparency applied so that you can see more of which ever image you may have in the background in wiiflow.
Once a button is highlighted the transparency goes away.

In this Download you'll find a theme labled retro that has 30% transparent buttons through out the whole theme and also a folder that contains the transparent buttons that can be applied to any other blank custom theme set theme you may have installed.
There are also updated source menus and new backgrounds for hyperspin mode which come on when you turn on sourceflow in the download.
Post automatically merged:

Just put together a few different source menu button layouts for these wiiflow themes.
Hear are some screen shots with them applied to different looks.

I've just put together some more looks / themes for wiiflow using the transparent button set.
They all share the same 6 button layout as this Spray paint theme, have the wiiflow logo where select source once was and a black texture behind the buttons.
The buttons light up once highlighted or change to a different image.

The other looks included are Red, Purple and an updated version of the previous Pink theme.

2 additional looks have just been added to this little set. Pink Floyd and Banksy.
These 2 don't have the black bar behind the buttons and have the full transparent button set.

This DOWNLOAD also contains info as to how to add your own backgrounds to create your own themes using this button set and layout so feel free to drop links to any you create or any other themes you have for wiiflow lite hear.

So I've been having another little play today. I had the idea to put the buttons into rows of 3 and place them at the bottom left. Then I thought about putting a few images together with coloured backgrounds and characters from games on the right and their names above the buttons.

I've also changed the colour of the writing through out from white to black as I've found when using light backgrounds it can be hard to read.

Again ive put together another little pack which can be downloaded
hear.

There's 10 themes with this sort of look going on in this addon pack. Some I think look better than others but hears whos in hear.
Crash, Diddy, Earthworm Jim, Pacman, Rayman, Spyro, Toad, Waluigi, Wario and Yoshi.

I've also included the alternative button layout pack but this time with the extra of each of the button layouts with a (black) version which makes the writing black in wiiflow like seen in the images above.
Thought that may come in handy for anyone who wants to have a play and change things about abit without having to edit the .ini

Is there a way for it to build the categories or do you have to add every ROM to said category manually?
Sadly as far as i'm aware you would need to do that manually but once its done its done.
Maybe someone out therevwill know a trick for sorting roms but I dont.
Obviously it's not the quickest of tasks but its worth it once its done I think.
I found with big collections its best to move all sports games out by eye first as they are generally fairly obvious to spot.
Then work through whatever you know.
After that I found having a second SD card very useful.
Basically all games I was unsure of i put into wiiflow and used its game data to help sort out the stragglers.

Thanks for all your hard work. I'm eager to get this setup and running nicely.

So what I did was got a little powershell script going to do this for me while utilizing the dat files from libretro. I've only done nes as I've been at setting up this wii theme for a couple days. However here is powershell script I used (created with the help of chatgpt)

Here is the script I used in powershell to start.
Code:
# --- Settings ---
$SourceFolder = "Set your source folder here for roms"
$DestinationFolder = "set where you want your roms moved to"
$DatFile = "C:\path\to\your\Nintendo - Nintendo Entertainment System.dat"
$UnsortedReport = Join-Path $DestinationFolder "Unsorted.txt"

# --- Create destination if it doesn't exist ---
if (!(Test-Path -Path $DestinationFolder)) {
    New-Item -ItemType Directory -Path $DestinationFolder
}

# --- Load DAT and Build Game-to-Genre Dictionary ---
$GameGenres = @{}
$CurrentTitle = ""
$InsideGame = $false

Get-Content $DatFile | ForEach-Object {
    $line = $_.Trim()

    if ($line -like "game (*") {
        $InsideGame = $true
        $CurrentTitle = ""
    }
    elseif ($line -like ")*") {
        $InsideGame = $false
    }
    elseif ($InsideGame) {
        if ($line -like "comment*") {
            $CurrentTitle = $line -replace 'comment\s+"(.+)"', '$1'
        }
        elseif ($line -like "genre*") {
            $Genre = $line -replace 'genre\s+"(.+)"', '$1'
            if ($CurrentTitle -ne "") {
                $GameGenres[$CurrentTitle] = $Genre
            }
        }
    }
}

# --- Prepare Unsorted List ---
$UnsortedList = @()

# --- Move ROMs ---
Get-ChildItem -Path $SourceFolder -Filter *.nes | ForEach-Object {
    $romName = [System.IO.Path]::GetFileNameWithoutExtension($_.Name)
    $originalFile = $_.FullName

    if ($GameGenres.ContainsKey($romName)) {
        $genre = $GameGenres[$romName]
    }
    else {
        $genre = "Unsorted"
        $UnsortedList += $_.Name
    }

    $targetFolder = Join-Path $DestinationFolder $genre

    if (!(Test-Path -Path $targetFolder)) {
        New-Item -ItemType Directory -Path $targetFolder
    }

    $targetPath = Join-Path $targetFolder $_.Name

    # Move the file
    Move-Item -Path $originalFile -Destination $targetPath -Force

    Write-Host "Moved '$($_.Name)' to '$genre' folder."
}

# --- Save Unsorted Report ---
if ($UnsortedList.Count -gt 0) {
    $UnsortedList | Out-File -FilePath $UnsortedReport -Encoding utf8
    Write-Host "⚠️ Some ROMs were unsorted. Check 'Unsorted.txt' in $DestinationFolder"
}

Write-Host "✅ Done organizing your NES ROMs!"

I'm not sure if there are other dat files that would have a better structure for genres but this is the best I could figure out atm. Unfortunately it created 27 genres, not sure if that's gonna be too many but will try in a.m and see how it goes.
Screenshot (1).png

PS C:\Users\xxx> # --- Save Unsorted Report ---
PS C:\Users\xxx> if ($UnsortedList.Count -gt 0) {
>> $UnsortedList | Out-File -FilePath $UnsortedReport -Encoding utf8
>> Write-Host "?? Some ROMs were unsorted. Check 'Unsorted.txt' in $DestinationFolder"
>> }
⚠️ Some ROMs were unsorted. Check 'Unsorted.txt' in C:\testing

There ended up being 28 roms in unsorted and a few folders that don't match, but this will def help me with all the roms I"m about to go through. Hope it helps someone else.

P.S. This script is set to move the roms to another folder. It will not alter names or anything but it is not set to copy the roms but rather move them.
