after talking with some other people about it, seems the text guide is either incomplete or requires some clarification on some steps. On a side observation, i notice some of the node dependencies for the server side have severe vulnerabilities... might be something worth looking into.

use the command to fix them or something

yeah i did that, that worked. i got everything to work, but most of the videos i tried return unknown errors for now. i suppose this might be an issue with how the wii handles videos from the backend at the moment?

EDIT: it might've been an error on my end. i'll revisit this in the morning with a clearer mind.

I want to try this but it seems awfully complicated?
Have anyone tried it and made it work and break it down?

@NCP30 hey can you do a tutorial on how to do it on windows? for me it seems awfully complicated.
No, I do not use Windows. Nor do I really wish to, Liinback or Just Do It™.

I believe he is working on a wad to make it easier to launch.
Only kind of, maybe I'll make he guide a little better but that's probably it. Maybe a script to auto patch urls if I can but that's mostly it.

what version of Linux do you have?

Can someone give me a wad that uses local? I am on Mac, and I have tried vitrual machines and used a real windows computer for some things yet, I keep getting stuck on patching the wad! Can someone give a wad that uses local and I know how to start my own server for YT2009.

@NCP30
Getting FLVs to play, IN THE VIDEO LOADER CLASS IN APIPLAYER_whatever LETTERS change get_webm to get_video, and in get video_wii_video_info change 43to 5 (or maybe 7), this is itag or whatever code for FLVs iirc.

what do you even mean with get video wii video info
