Homebrew Deleting Wii U user without NID password?

You can actually make the account act like it has no NNID and remove it directly from the user settings as normal, which should also remove most left overs from the account.

Tried this but it completely f**ked up the user account, so the Wii U could no longer use it and forced to create a new user. This ofc. changed the user ID, so now the old saves don't work anymore...

So to all people reading this: Take it with a grain of salt. It might work in most cases but sometimes there seem to be issues.

That's unfortunate, if I'm not mistaken I did the entire process while logged into a different account, so I had at least two users on my console during the time I did that myself. (in case these details are of some relevance.)

No, you don't:

how????????????? for the mkey generator you need a 6, 8, or 10 digit code but this screen gives you two separate digits which even when combined is 9 in total

Hi, I did it, earlier it was not working.
(I've Tiramisu and Aroma on console, default user without NintendoID)
Boot into tiramisu (on my console I can chose while booting by holding X), run Homebrew Launcher, run FTPiiU Everywhere, find that folder to delete (lets say. 80000005) and delete it.
Edit common.dat file by deleting 80000005 and add 00\ but not in place where was 80000005 but just before 00\, for ex.
before
PersistentIdList=80000005\08000000b\08000000c\08000000f\080000010\080000011\080000012\080000013\00\00\00\00\0
after
PersistentIdList=08000000b\08000000c\08000000f\080000010\080000011\080000012\080000013\00\00\00\00\00\0
and save it to console.
Then exit FTPiiU, Homebrew Laucher and Mii Maker and tap icon of user and Switch User.
Old account still appears but without its icon. Now chose accout to Start as other user (I switched to user with NintendoID connected). When everything is loaded turn console off from gamepad (by power button).
Then turn it on but to Aroma (on my console it is default).
After that i've no old user on my console.

Let me help you. (Also @raptor5001)

In order to delete a wii u user successfully, you will have to do this apart from deleting the user folder. Head to the route specified in the image attached and edit "common.dat" with Notepad for example, there you will numbers corresponding with every user on the Wii U, so you have to delete all numbers excepting zeroes. Look at the image for the reference. This is exactly what I did when I wanted to delete an user. Hope it helps you.

Just open /storage_mlc/usr/save/system/act/USER_ID/account.dat and replace everything after line 7 (below MiiName) with their default values:

- Press L + D-pad Down + Minus while staying on the Wii U menu, you are now on Wii U Plugin System.
- Search for ftpiiu then press A
- Make sure that "Enable ftpd" is on true and "Access system files" is also on true (it's very important)
- Use Filezilla on your PC and type the ip address and the port shown on the ftpiiu menu.
- Connect to your Wii U (Make sure that your WIi U uses the same WiFi as your computer)
- Search for your account.dat

- Open with Notepad (or alternatives) and copy paste what NinStar gave after the line "MiiName"

replace everything after line 7 (below MiiName)

- Save it and make sure that FileZilla saved it by reopening account.dat

- Change user account and you will now see that NNID has disappeared from your Wii U user.

Just use Wii U Account Swap, I just did it right now and I got rid of my pesky NNID, you have to log into the NNID user you want to remove and then unlink use Wii U Account Swap.

Can confirm this is working with Aroma. Just removed a user account with a nid password that I did not have access to.
