Hiya, I'm trying to get every version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl as a hobby of sorts. Korean is the language that's proving by FAR the most difficult to find, unless I want to shell out $250 on eBay.

Are there any stores people can recommend? I'm already aware I'll likely have to use a proxy, but as an English 22 year old, I'm very poorly versed in Korean online stores and how to find them.

Seen some Pokemon Pearl Korean version but they are $220+
Yeah, those are the ones I've seen around.

I'm pretty sure they're not actually worth that much, but low supply low demand kind of leads to these things sitting uncontested for some superfan or crazy person to buy up (Probably me if I get every other language before I find a reasonably priced Korean lol)

They seem much more reasonable on the site mentioned by rahcchi
You can try sites like Bunjang, they work directly with Delivered (a proxy) to send them to outside South Korea.
I instantly found a Pearl for $50-ish. Definitely seems like people overseas are more obsessed with their scarcity than those in the country.

They seem to float between $40 and $60 USD

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
