Majora's Mask is unplayable?

i know there's threads for this but none of them helped fix my issue and i don't wanna necropost on something from years ago.
I did try both tools which names elude me now, but something like lumalocaleautosetter and luma...region...changer? (?). That didn't help at all. Installing the seed on FBI fails, all the time. I dunno what else to try. I downloaded it from some website first, then from hshop... i did install the 1.1 update, and made sure to also set it's region and language to the same values as the main game file...
I do have the game patching setting on luma enabled.

nothing seems to work. Did anyone successfully installed this game? if so, how? there's gotta be something you did or something on your system that's different and i could try.
For the record i get the "black screen of death" of luma like people show in some of the other posts, something about "joker" it says.. i dunno, i don't think it's that relevant since everyone got it and it didn't help fix the issue

ur gonna have to launch it from the homebrew launcher tho

I've not picked up my 3DS lately but yeah I've installed it in the past no problem. There's nothing special about it as far as I know, outside of some issues early on if you used the wrong region (I think because the game calls the system keyboard of its region?). Only suggestions I can think of is making sure the region of the game matches your system and that your Luma is fully updated.

3dsx is a homebrew format though. You would generally have a retail game like Majora's Mask 3D as a cia file. Your suggestion doesn't seem particularly relevant, unless you're referencing FBI?

For future reference "joker" is just the code name for Majora's Mask so it's really nothing essential to this other than another
way to identify the game instead of by title ID or game name itself.

Anyway, this could is a bit of a toughie as there could be a plethora of things that caused this as from experience, I had
foolishly messed with Shantae and The Pirates curse save data within the /Nintendo3DS directory by attempting to replace it with a different save, and with ultra moon, installing a texture/model swap mod ripped from Pokemon Stars.
So from I've gathered based on your point about the "black screen of death" are a few possibilities:

- Corrupted save file within the /Nintendo3DS directory (which i doubt)
- Bad Dump of the CIA (update or the game itself)
- Something within the Luma folder followed by the games TitleID (Luma/TLOZMMTitleID/) could have something that's not compatible within the RomFS folder (if there is one for Majora's Mask on your SD card)

That's about all I can really think of at the moment, now I could be 100% incorrect, but try and look into these if you haven't already and if that's not it we'll figure something else out, as I'm sure someone will most likely have a more straightforward answer for you soon, don't fret!
