How To Mod A Playstation 3 using HEN!
I Know There aren't many guides on how to do homebrew on Playstation 3, so im doing it!
1. Make sure you are on version 4.90 for this to work!
2. Make sure you are connected to the internet on your playstation 3.
3. Go to https://www.psx-place.com/threads/hfw-4-90-1-hybrid-firmware.39758/ and click the download link. and you will be taken to a mega download page.
4. Click the green download button to install.
5. Connect your USB stick to your computer.
6. Install GUIFormat here: http://ridgecrop.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm and click on the window.
7. Make Note of the letter of your USB. (Ex: (C
)
8. Go To Your downloads Folder, as you will see "GUIFormat.exe" and click it.
9. Press Yes.
(NOTE: Close Every Window of file explorer before going to step 10.)
10. At The Top, put the letter of your USB Stick and click start all the way down.
11 . click OK and wait for it to be finished.
12. when it's done, click close.
13. go back to file explorer and right click on the HFW Zip File.
14. Click Extract all and the click extract.
15. When it's done, click on the folder.
16. Copy The "PS3" Folder to the root of your USB stick.
17. Insert the USB Stick on the right port of your Playstation 3 (Not the left side)
18. Turn On Your Playstation 3.
19. Go to System Settings.
20. Make Sure You don't have Automatic Update ON.
21. click on system update.
22. Click On "Update Via Storage Media"
23. Press Yes.
24. Wait Until It's Done.
25 Repeat Steps 21, 22, 23 , And 24 one more time.
