New to modding a switch, but I have a sxos switch and recently wanted to download new games so I've been trying to download new games onto my switch but turns out newer games dont run on sxos. So I tried following a guide to migrate so atmosphere and I had atmosphere running but I couldn't run any of my games. So I tried updating my firmware with daybreak and accidentally updated my exfat sd card to FAT32 type instead. So I wiped my card and formatted it to FAT32 and manage to get my switch to work again. But now I tried updating my switch again with daybreak and instead of keeping the files I formatted the switch with daybreak and now it won't turn on. Not sure what I should do now. Been looking up alot of different types of guides that may help but to no avil. Hoping someone here might be able to solve my problem! Thank you.

To list some of the things I've already tried to get my switch working again: Hold power button down 20seconds, and power on.
Tried booting into recovery mode, tried using my backup file with my old files before I started modding, tried using a clean sd card, tried using atmosphere without sxos, tried tegrarcm to inject the payload (tegrarcm couldnt even detect the switch)

You are writing a lot of stuff that does not make any sense, which is a sign you did not really read and understand guides before you carried them out.

If tegrarcm does not detect your switch, it is not in rcm mode. Maybe you booted into OFW directly, not through hekate, and it disabled auto RCM. You need to get back into RCM mode again with a jig and holding vol + while powering on, and then pushing hekate bootload. (Assumin you have an unpatched v1 unit) From there, start from scratch with atmosphere. Unless you messed up your NAND completely with daybreak (unlikely if it did not throw any errors) you should be able to recover. Use a FAT32 formatted card just in case your installed firmware does not have exfat support.

Note that you need sigpatches to play pirated games on a switch, which any of the guides available will mention. This might have been your problem to begin with.

DO NOT use tools like daybreak or similar tools very capabe of messing up your NAND without reading and understanding what you are doing. Especially not if you were actually using them on sysnand! Use a guide for setting up atmosphere that includes setting up emunand.

Can't get the cheats to work on my modded 16.03 switch..it's modded. Won't work on Metroid Dread or any other games. The directory is Switch/Atmosphere/ content/ title id/title of the game/cheat file. Is this right? Starting to do my head in guys. Any help and advice with this will be very much appreciated.

Hey for the disney dreamlight valley update, is it delayed with all the stuff happening with the Nintendo shit or is it just in the pipes?

Cause I'm sure it's massive one so it will take extra time but I didn't know if I was missing something relating to it.

Hi all,

new to the whole switch hacking/cfw and was wondering if in order to browse switch files(trying to find save file) I would need cfw or to jailbreak my switch?

You need CFW to decrypt your save, depending what model unit you have you might need a modchip or not.

I meant unless you have an unpatched switch or patched switch firmware 4.1 or under then you would need a modchip.

ah i see! yea my swicth are mostly up to date with the firmware on some maybe firmware 15.x.x but most are up to date with 16.0.3. so this means I would need a modchip?
