How do I convert my switch sxos to something current without losing save games?

It’s been forever since I touched my Switch and I want to play the latest Zelda and Metroid Prime.

For the live of my I can’t remember anything about my sxos setup, I’m pretty sure I had setup a sysnand and an emunand but I can’t remember how to verify if that’s important.

Is there a step by step guide I can follow to convert over to something current while bribing over my save games?

I see a lot of people doing stuff like dual boots and trying to maintain their sxos, but I’m not sure what’s the point of that, and wouldn’t it make sense to just be current and just bring over your save games?

If you just want your save you can back up them with jksv or checkpoint.

Yeah get JKSV and backup all your saves. Good to have even without swapping stuff over.

As for switching to atmosphere. You can convert your SXOS emunand to Atmosphere in like 2 clicks in Hekate. I did that. I can't remember exactly the process but yeah you can convert your sxos emunand to atmosphere. Then just grab all the latest atmosphere files and sigpatches.

"Migrate emmuc" option in Hekate. Read up on that. For me it took literally 30 seconds.

Open your sdcard and search for a so called emutendo folder. If that's here, you definitely were using an emunand setup. If not, most probably your sx installation runs in sysnand.

Answer me some questions..

Is your switch banned?
Do you want Nintendo Online?

I HIGHLY reccomend emunand. It will save your ass if there is an issue.

Dual boot is an option. So is quad boot lol

SX is still the only way to utilze your HDD. I use it for old games. Super useful. It works with sd readers. SSD.
Any Usb device. There's over 3000 SXOS compatible games. Its's up to you and easy to setup. You can have Android,Linux and technically windows 98 lol.

Let me know what you want and if you're banned then I'll advise the correct path.
