I do remember downloading some games and MP3 from BB using a 14.400 (the top of technology) bauds modem. some night while making dinner going to computer screen to look into the progress bar for a song what the wife want to ear, take like 30 minutes to download...

yeah, think this scene:

First year college, my cousin was aboard in study exchange. My friends of computer science 101 and I installed a IBM 386 clone with a external modem. (the ones you put the headset of a phone on a padded base)

Connected to university's dial-up service and then jumps to "The Internet", start a IRC with my cousin.

We all cheer up at the living room and congrats each other.

Mother comes and ask why is the fuss about, I answered: "we are talking with the cousin".

Then: (you guessed) she runs over the phone on the landline and hang up the handset and start to yell to "my cousin" interrupting the connection... well you have to love your mother
