Hi all, my console is behaving strangely.
I can't connect to the internet from the normal settings, the search for access points immediately fails, while if I search from the advanced settings, it finds the access points and is also able to connect.
Local wireless (multiplayer) does not work, if I enter DS download the console freezes (the search popup does not appear and if I press back it does nothing even if the clock on the screen continues to scroll), entering pictochat the console says communication error and shuts down.
I noticed the problem after installing twlight menu, but restoring a nand backup that I had before installing stuff the problem persists.
I also changed wifi module to one from a dsi which works 100% but the result remains the same.
I don't know what to do anymore, I thought maybe the problem could be the corrupted firmware but having version 1.4.5e (latest) I can't update.
Any solution? I do not know what to do :(

The WiFi card may not be seated correctly. Try re-seating it.
If the issue persists, then you got another bad WiFi card.

Thanks for the reply but it's not possible, I tried the wifi module of my sister's console which works perfectly, once changed I can also see her saved networks

another doubt is why it can't find the access points but can it from the advanced settings? This makes me think of a software problem

Because your access point is WPA1/2, which cannot be set as a normal connection.
DS games can only use normal connections 1-3, so they cannot use advanced settings, as only TWL (DSi-Enhanced/Exclusive) titles can use them.

the problem is not in connecting to the access point but in finding it, I have a nintendo dsi and a dsi xl, in the dsi I scan and it is successful, in the dsi xl it doesn't even search because it immediately gives an error, can i link a youtube video for show?

I tried nand dump with no$gba and the "download ds" problem doesn't come up,pictochat crashes no$gba but I think that's another problem.
Hoping someone can help me...

I get that. Was just answering your doubt.

Sounds like the WiFi card slot/connector itself is broken in your console, which is why the card works on other consoles.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to fix that, so my suggestion is to just get another console.

Yesterday evening I did a firmware downgrade by copying the titles and tickets from the nand backup of the other console, then I performed the firmware update from the settings but still the exact same problem, I also tried to write the wifi firmware of the second console with its wifi card and its antenna, but exact same problem,so at this point i think its something related to the eeprom PAIC3005B (Primary Antenna Interface Controller).

Hi there! Have you ever found a solution to this issue? I got the exact same problem with the same symptoms that you have described, I can even connect to my wifi from advanced settings, but scanning for access points, pictochat and download play doesn't work Just like it didn't for you.

It seems to not be related to the wifi card itself as it works fine in another console, already tested that
