3ds CFW repair online

I bricked my new 3ds and tried to fix it myself, and messed up even more. Now I am stuck with an unsupported mcu fw version error. Can I send my 3ds to someone online to repair, hoping they can fix CFW.

Oh wow, that's an error I haven't seen in a long time. While "CFW repair services" do exist, I personally do not trust them that much.
What did you do to originally brick your console? And what guide did you follow to try to unbrick it?

This isn't an MCU brick. An MCU brick would mean the 3DS would fail to power on at all, and there's literally nothing you can do to fix it. iirc, this error is thrown by Luma3DS when attempting to boot very old firmware versions, versions that don't even belong on a n3DS

My guess is that they somehow ctrtransferred to version 3.0.0 or below. Those are the firmware versions that cause Luma3DS to throw out this error.

There is no reason to go to like 2.1.0 these days.

Update Luma3DS. There is an older release known to throw this exact error because it had wrong version number parsing.

Sorry for the late reply, I had recently bricked my 3ds xl by dropping it while running a gba game. I tried to fix it by downloading new CFW and replacing some files. But I ended up deleting all of the old files by mistake. So now I am left with a mcu fw error whenever I try to turn it on with or without holding start. So I was wondering if I could send my 3DS to anybody so it could get fixed. Is there any hope left?

wdym you bricked if after dropping it? What happened when you tried to power it on (before you tried to fix it)?
Also, what guide did you use to attempt to fix it? It's better to try to fix it yourself rather than sending it off somewhere

My bet is that the SD card may have simply been jostled a bit, causing it to not be read, and you removing and reinserting it probably would've fixed it. eStarland probably doesn't know what the fuck a "homebrew" is (or if they do, they're probably not allowed to work with it due to contracts with Nintendo). Video guides are honestly terrible, they often become outdated fast or just straight up have wrong information. It's very important to know the exact video you followed, as sthetix has multiple videos on the subject.

In addition to the comment above. Do you know how old the firmware installed on the console was?

I can tell that I messed up really bad, and even if they're untrustworthy you said you know some people who might be able to repair/fix my problem. The old fw was from jun 2020

We'll guide you through fixing it yourself, we just need to know *what* exactly you did to determine what state the console is in

Please do. But from what you are explaining it sounds more like the SD slot is damaged than anything.

Seen a few of these errors with google. most are within a few months back. Do you have a nand backup of your console? One mention was that it took that to get it back working.
