Wii-Fi Tester is a small Wii homebrew utility for validating a manually installed WLAN module on Wii Mini. It talks directly to the SDIO1 controller, so it does not need the WLAN driver that Nintendo removed from Wii Mini IOS. This allows testing the card before doing the risky IOS80 replacement from the mini to the full wii. It also works on an original Wii as a mean to detect possible issues with the WLAN card.

Features:

• Provides a diagnostic of WLAN chip installation, including flaky soldered pins with 8 different messages
  (not counting homebrew initialization issues or success messages)
• Tests from device enumeration in the SDIO bus to card cpu cores bounding (ready for firmware execution)
• Can be launched from any AHBPROT capable entrypoint (almost everywhere)
• Does not patch/reload any IOS, alter network settings or load any WLAN firmware in the system
• Does not activate antennae, receive or transmit packets, or any other WLAN functionality
• Saves a complete report as wii-fi-tester-report.txt on SD or USB.

Tests:

• Confirms the SDIO1 host-controller register block is sane.
• Samples CMD and DAT line levels for soldering diagnostics.
• Uses bounded reset, power, clock, and command waits for operation.
• Runs SDIO CMD5/CMD3/CMD7 enumeration after a successful bring-up.
• Reads the standard CCCR and common/function CIS with read-only CMD52 calls.
• Temporarily enables function 1 and performs one bounded four-byte CMD53 PIOread
  to validate DAT0, then restores the original function-enable state.
• Opens the native SSB address window and enumerates raw ChipCommon/core IDs.
