Quick little stop at goodwill, and I find a classic gameboy bundled with two games for 10 bucks. I have a version of every other GB hardware, how could I resist?
It took a while to get the GB to work, and it's missing part of the battery cover's closing hatch, but eventually, with a bit of tape and a lot of patience, I got it powering on and playing stuff just fine, save for a few dead columns, a common issue with old GBs. A name sticker is plastered on top of it, most likely from its previous owner, but for respect of privacy I won't give the name here.
Both of the games are in pretty much perfect condition with no visible damage to the labels or carts whatsoever. The two games I received with it were "Tecmo Bowl" which is a fun little football game (Yes, I just used the words "fun" and "football game" in one sentence.)
and one other game...
"Battle Bull" (I think it refers to a battling bulldozer, who you play as?), in a little gameboy sized protective case.
This game, as far as I can tell, is made by SETA (also responsible for that HORRID Wizard of Oz game on SNES, though I can easily say this title is MILES better), and feels like a strategic version of SEGA's Pengo, in which you purchase upgrades for your vehicle which help you as you progress through harder and harder stages. Both carts work perfectly but I can barely find any info on this game. There's not even a wikipedia page on it!
I've seen only THREE copies of it on eBay, an extremely low amount for a GB title: two were import versions, and one was an american version, but new in box. This, of course, means that I have no idea just how rare a loose copy is. Anyone got a clue?
