RARE STEAL at complete in box sale

So, I went to the CiB sale today. Pretty cool deals, buy 2 games get 1 free of equal or lower value. I walked in not expecting much. I got these games under that sale:
They also had a bargain bin dive thing like last time so I went in and got these games, a PS2 multitap and other accessory stuff, plus a ton more I'm going to resell including 2 metal gear solid 2s (already got one, no need for em).
But I got something else in that first lot. Something that I still can't believe I got right now.

This game is one I've been after
for
so
damn
long.

It's made by TREASURE, who also did dynamite headdy, gunstar heroes and ikaruga, and it's INSANELY hard to find and stupid expensive, often going up to $50 for JUST the cartridge.

I got it for $7.
Complete in box with the manual.
In pristine condition.

My happiness cannot be measured.

In total, I spent around $30 for all of this plus the extra stuff I got from the bargain bin that I'm reselling.

Good day, I think.

nice i rented that game before and let me tell i wrote the password for every damn stage in the game i was like man what bore that was...

just because one guy under-priced a valuable title doesn't mean it's not rare. That's like saying action 52 is common because some guy listed it for $5.

Notice how every other result on that page is at least $30 for the game complete?

Yeah, it's rare. Feel free to attempt to convince me it's worthless in your envy for the steal but I know otherwise.

Treasure games are pwness (expect for the gunstar heros and guardian heros remakes on GBA)

I see the ebay listings are still up. Is ebay screwing up, or did you not buy up all the underpriced copies yet ? If not, why not ?

Mmmmm....lucky! It's like the day I found a copy of Earthbound, CIB and pretty much undamaged. I picked it up for about $20. I resold it a couple of years ago for $100. :D

Should have hung on to it, as I rebought it for $150.
http://videogames.pr...eland-adventure Actually a new copy is worth $50-$60 a used might get $20 on a good day, but the average used is $8. So I would not consider it all that rare but rarer than Sonic 1 or 2.
That site's used quote is based on an ebay auction for just the cart. It is true that, without box and all, it stays less than $10, but not with.

Strangely enough, this is one of the few games rarityguide.com doesn't list for genesis, making the argument on either side sort of hard to confirm completely. There's also the fact that it's not in high demand since many are turned off at the prospect of a...well...mcdonalds game, so it's harder to find, and worth something, but barely anyone's going to pay what it's worth.

In brief, it's rare, it's worth something, but you'd be stupid to buy it at its value. As a collector only, this works for me.

Do you have Michael Jackson's Moonwalker?

Not yet, but it's on the list. I try not to pay full price for rarer games. With a bit of patience, you'll eventually come across that old lady selling her son's games for a few bucks and it'll be far more rewarding to get such a steal than to just buy at full value.

Probably the "rarest" game I own right now is a mint condition black label FF7. It's more valued for the game than its scarcity, though.

I got one of these in a wii lot though:

Little capsule thingy n' all. It's got a sticky A button and no analog rubber tho, so it's not perfect, but still cool to own.

It's not here - http://www.racketboy.com/retro/sega/genesis/the-rarest-and-most-valuable-sega-genesis-megadrive-games

And it sells regularly on ebay....whilst you can say that it's not in demand, and it may be rarer than some games, it's value seems to be largely determined by a personal "want" rather than the standard market demand which escalates price (i.e Suikoden II or Radiant Silvergun)
