Man that's tough

Do what I did. Do odd jobs for people. Fix an old man's computer, mow a lawn, you know, just find out what people need done in your neighborhood, and do it for a fee. it worked for me when I was about 12 or 13 to get my Super Nintendo. shit was awesome.

I don't get how people get their DS' to this state, I have a DS phat since 2006 I think and a lite since 2007 and they both work 100%, no damages anywhere, they're like new. Well except for a tiny scratch on the lite and finger prints on the back, since it's an Onyx Black.
I once had a kinda deep scratch in my lite and black pixels on my lite, but everything disappeared

I've put my DS Phat through hell and the thing still works perfectly. I've taken out my outrage on that thing more times than I care to count and it doesn't even have a squeaky hinge. And I'm a pretty big guy, too.

I had a DS Phat not too long ago.
Thing was cool shit, then out day for no reason I had it on my desk just fine, nothing wrong with it, I brought it down stairs, opened it up and the glass screen on the inside looked like it blew up (it was cracked to hell and leaking all over in it)
To this day I have never been able to explain what happen to it.

DS Phats were built a lot tougher than Lites. I had a Phat since 2005 and that bad boy lived through everything, well till one day when I opened it gently and the small hinge broke.
But I fixed that with a little glue and some time.
Phats: They are SNES tough!

i have my phat since 2005 scratched like hell on the outside but still
the hing is just fine and it has experienced enough of my anger
so mine is pretty sturdy

You can try ordering replacement parts. Most of the parts you've got problems with are easy to replace by the sounds of it you need...
1. A replacement case
2. A replacement top screen, bottom screen and touch screen (rather than try to remove your current one)
3. A new ribbon cable (possibly incluided with screens) just in case that is the problem.

All that will probably cost you $30-50 (not sure) but that's half the price of a new DSlite

What's your budget? I have a DS Phat to get rid of.

I'd say $50-$55 shipped but it can be lower. How much do you have now?
