I was scared sh*tless...

Today I started working at security again. My duty was to patrol the service station of the Toronto Transit Commission. (TTC) The shift is from 6pm to 6am. I took the job thinking it was easy, buy man was I wrong... First of all, the place is about the size of 6 football fields... it was gigantic, and consisted of 2 levels. I was the ONLY one there during the night. I am supposed to sit in a HUGE "office" until every hour to do an inspection of the entire building. There were gas nozzles hanging down from the the tall ass ceiling everywhere. I walk around and because the place is actually pretty empty, it echos very loudly... I sit in an office but I look around nervously for anything paranormal for about every 20 seconds. Even the smallest noises made me jump such as the fridge starting again. Even when I patrol, I get scared and around to see if there is a hot chick ready to rape me...(sarcasm)
I have to do this again tonight and tomorrow and the day after...
This job fucks the mind... :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

I used to work security, when I was paying my way through post-grad ...

If you're on your own, your mind just makes up crazy shit ... it's like, unavoidable ...

Even if you bring things to keep you occupied, like a book or something, your train of thought still goes through those tunnels, at points in the night ...

A DS or a GBA my be put to good use ;) If its within wifi range you could use Opera DS or use your laptop(This being in office)?

:rofl: Everyone is suggesting DS. I don't even have a flashcard for that guy... :( I only bought the New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS. I haven't bought a game (that I didn't borrow) since then... :wtf:
I'm gonna bring my laptop.
The place is almost as bad as cemetery, because it gets dead silent, and then suddenly, you hear some building equipment starting automatically.
I feel like a moron being scared of this being a grown man AND an ex-soldier.
I watched waaay too many horror movies before, and this building got just about EVERY cliche in the beginning of a horror movie.

Super Princess Peach runs good in np$Gba(no shit, I'm addicted to that game) xD
and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 also does emulate good in no$gba and gives 20h+ gameplay :):)

The place is property of the Municipality of Toronto, it is absolutely off-limits to anyone except security, head directors of the Transit Commission and cops and emergency services (if needed) during night.

Hey, better than being an actual TTC Operator, having everyone mad at you can't be all that fun. (Not that I hated them for what happened, not their fault)

As for the place your taking care of, think about it logically, who would go in there? For what reason? They can't just steal a bus and not have anyone notice.
You'll be alright in there, if anything, hit them with your flashlight.

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
