Cave Story is such a good game !

Did you did all the of the requirements for the good ending?

Super meat boy is amazing, you will definitely like it, you may be also happy to know that the Cave Story game is getting a 3d generated remake.

super meat boy , wait for a sale , or just get it ?
people are a little on the meh side for Cave Story becoming 3D on the 3DS . they say it'll ruin the experience though i am looking forward to it . the screenshot looked a little like LBP to me xD .
i hope it still retains it's 2D aspects though .

Wow, you didn't trade for the machinegun? Most people do because it makes the middle of the game a hell of a lot easier (since you can shoot downwards in the air with the level-3 machinegun to actually fly around as long as your self-replenishing (like bubbler) ammo lasts).

Anyways just go to sleep for now, plantation has a few sidequests and such and a little backtracking and exploring.

Shadow Complex on the Xbox live arcade (I think its on the PC and PS3 as well) is a great side scroller game. I spent at least 15 hours (probably more) on all my playthroughs combined.

Lol been playing Cave Story ever since I read this blog.
Heard about it lots, never tried it before.

Damn addicting.

Um have you ever heard of spur it makes the final part so much easier

[/quote]What Rydian is saying is that people who are on the first playthrough should get the machine gun because it makes it easier.

I'm pretty sure he knows about everything in the game.

Cave Story is some sweet stuff, I'm always playing the Boss Rush on the WiiWare version, through Dolphin-emu. My current record is 10''57'3.
I've been wanting to make a video of it, but I can't do it unfortunately.

Actually, have you heard of the GPH Caanoo? It's the successor to the GP2X which had a port of Cave Story! And just today, a homebrew was released for the Caanoo which lets you load GP2X applications.



Fuck yeah, yet another portable Cave Story, this one with the exact resolution the PC version uses.

I can say the same, one of the few games I actually decided to get 100% on. Spent a good chunk of time beating the game and tracking down all the power ups and stuff. Very fun, great game for Metroidvania fans.

I've been playing the PSP version of Cave Story myself and it's very good. Graphics and everything look fine and it controls really well with the D-Pad and stuff.

I'm really opposed to the upcoming 3DS version though, it feels like it'll butcher the entire charm of the original. It'll probably play well because it's Cave Story but without a lot of the style. I don't really care if Pixel okays it, I have a feeling he's been really marketing his game since the DSiWare/WiiWare versions came out. What was once a free indie game is now being pushed with a price to quite a few platforms. Regardless of how bad the new version will be though, the original will always be there though.

Welcome to the club Cave story is possible one of the best indie game ever made, and I'm looking forward to the 3DS release, and if you have a psp there is a port for it also

great , more and more people playing Cave Story :3
this game is 6 years old . it's hard to believe i only decided to play it recently !
well i got a PSP . i heard there's already a PSP port , so i already have my own means no being able to play it everywhere . not just that , the PSP 3000 is so much more lighter than the 1000 , and with all the recent development for 6.20 OFW or higher, it's just making it even better !

i like my Spur . it shoots giant lazors which easily kills the monsters over here at where i am in game ;D .
although i had to endure all those problems and hard ships , someone recommended me to do this anyway . my Swords , Fire Balls and Bubbles did a great deal of damage ! now i got Spur so everything got replaced [though i use my lvl 3 swords every once in a while for those hard to reach monsters :3]

I was considering the Spur but I still prefer the machine gun.

Going for the great ending right now...holy crap. Not a fan of the final area.

For the sake of being a show off, here's a speed run I did in Boss Rush mode on the Wii version.

Spoiler'd because it has every boss in the game, and the preview is the final boss.

Most difficult part about the game is definitely the areas. Especially the final two.
I love how many times you fight Balrog though, lol. Boss rush REALLY points that out.
