Ok, before I fuck anything up, I need to know how to install.

I've installed games through USB before, so I'm just assuming I place the game and update folders in the same place on the SD that USB Helper does when you download games from there. I'd also need to place the title.tik in the breath of the wild folder.

I'm on a US system, and I use Cold Boot Haxchi. Does this automatically do Sig Patches or would I have to hold a button or would I need to install something else? If I'm perfectly fine with using Cold Boot Haxchi, then it's to my understanding that I go to homebrew through its app and open up wupinstaller Y and install both the game and update to my system. Once they're both done, I'm free to play, correct? No bricks or anything right? I wouldn't want to destroy my wii u that I just got last week, nor want to lose my Explorers of Sky save

Quote me if I'm right please:
- tik goes in the 10 GB folder to the app files
- WUP Installer GX2 install 10 GB game folder and v16 update folder in one step

Sounds about right. There is little to no chance of bricking when installing games that need a sig patch, if you try to launch them without sig patching enabled it just gives you an error.

Actually on second thought, I'd double check on region locks if I were you, depends on what you are using, mocha is region free but I am no so sure about sysnand

exactly why you should get rid of loadiine. you need an expensive SD card for it and loading times are very slow!
install to NAND or get a HDD.

But, with a US wii u and without the rednand, the risk of brick is to important. Right ?

Cant we just download the game by using jnustool.jar with the botw title id and -dlEncrypted? With the .tik file this should be enough, shouldnt it?
Why do we need this mega.nz link? The problem is, that I cannot download such big data, because i dont have an mega.nz account.

I don't have CBHC, but I have the SigPatcher2SysMenu. I just install the game with the patcher like I usually would, or do I need to do something special for my US Wii U?

Google MegaDownloader

I did it with jDownloader 2 with no problems.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
