The actual console is significantly longer than I had anticipated, hinting at the level of power under the hood. Most people in attendance were surprised by this, having probably imagined the device to be about the same size as the original Wii console. Nintendo representatives on the day informed me that it was “19 times more powerful than PS3”.

Clearly. PS3 can't even dream of running dat 60FPS 720p Nintendo Land!

It makes me think his process was 'What's a good number? Yeah, 19, that sounds awesome, 19 times as powerful is good'.

In seriousness, even if it's overshot, atleast he believes to be told it was 'more powerful' than the PS3. 19 is a bit ridiculous, unless he's measuring in a scale of power that is unknown. 'Vegeta, it's power level is 19 times that of the PS3!'

Yay more arbitrary numbers based on absolutely nothing coming from someone with no credentials to speak of. Quick lets bash everything based on them before the mods come and lock the thread.

Sorry, but i don't believe, 19 times more powerful than the PS3 is too much.

I don't think they could have achieved that with the selling price they'll charge.

This is bs, no way would Nintendo let it's reps say stuff like this when they've not even remotely spoken about specs.

No.

Edit: To elaborate, "No, because multi-GPU, multi-CPU builds with massive amounts of memory and dedicated Physics Processing Units."
How else do they render The Wonderful 101 in HD then? This is clearly next-gen quality.
